E3 2016
« on: March 07, 2016, 09:32:50 pm »
What do you want to see from E3 this year?

I personally think that Ubisoft would be interesting because they already released many good titles in the past few months. SEGA needs to have something a lot bigger than what they had to offer last year.

• SEGA press conference (though I know it won't happen)
• A reason to be a happy Wii U owner (who am I kidding)
• Nintendo NX reveal and disappointment (likely)
• Shenmue 3 in some form in some show (probably not until 2017)
• Yakuza 0 at the Sony show (hopefully)

You're making me go on this big philosophical "why do I even play games anymore" quest right now...uhm...I guess I'm curious about the NX, of course. And like every year, I hope for some sort of awesome Sega throwback. Before last year, every year was "all I really care about is Shenmue 3."

Mario Golf for Wii U or NX? Resident Evil 7? A Mario Party that returns to the original gameplay style? Valkyria...Blue...Azure...whatever it's called to finally get announced for the west?

No expectations. Expectations lead to disappointment. No point in having expectations on something you have no control over. I do have hopes though. I hope the next Sonic game is amazing, and I hope to see a big presence on Japanese games from SEGA of America and Atlus at E3. I hope Sony's whole conference won't be VR tech demos and Call of Duty/Destiny.

Zelda U blowout. They havent shown anything apart from its artstyle and the grasland. So im curious how great other environments will look in that art style. I wanna see the updated link's face to hopefully look less feminine.

Last guardian hopefully showing more gameplay and a release date.

Not interested in anything else honestly. Im enjoying myself in the meantime. Just like happycat few expectations. Would usually look forward to nintendo the most, but after last year's burn I think id rather just enjoy the show when it comes instead of looking forward fo it. Im enjoying myself in the meantime.

It's usually the indie stuff that creep up on me and surprise me, so I'm just looking forward to them.

Last E3 for sony was what's going to be out, but they could beat it this year by showing what's coming out this year.

Basically just show exactly the same games but say "this time they are really coming out"

Genuinly laughed out loud at this. I was thinking the same when I was writing my post. Basically what im expecting too, well beside the other games that'll be anounced 2/3 years away from release

I really hope they don't do that. It's alright saying what's going to come out in the distant future, but they really need some of those games to be out soon now.

Guaranteed way to face crushing disappointment:

Think that FFXV/FFXIII Versus and Kingdom Hearts III will be out anytime within the next 5 years.

i joke.. maybe. FFXV seems to be making good progress finally, but Kingdom Hearts III seems like it still has a way to go still. Square Enix releasing footage of it every so often doesn't mean much, they did the same thing with FFXIII Versus

a full 55 minutes of FFXV trailers from 2006 to 2016

Sega should have a conference. We now have dozens of games to show. From Atlus to Sports Interactive, there is a LOT of good games coming. A 2016 Sega conference would blow Konami/Squeenix/EA away

Square Enix has been having killer E3 shows lately and I barely care about them. Anyone can do better than Konami and EA. Fuck, I could be farting in a bag in that stage for 30 minutes and I'd do a better conference than Konami.

I'd like a SEGA/Atlus conference as well. Just seeing something like 7th Dragon III Code on a big theater screen seems like a huge "take that" to all things AAA at E3 where the 1st party conferences hide them away in sizzle reels.
