Dissed by a 9 Year Old.
« on: June 18, 2011, 02:23:30 pm »
So I was talking to my cuz on FB and she asked me to cut my hair.

I asked why?

She said, You are a boy.

I said, Your a girl.
What does that have to do with anything.

She's quiet....
...
...
...

Correct your english?

I said, Fine.
... Hair Length doesn't have anything to do with gender.

She said, NO!
Before that.

I stay quiet.

She Said, it's not Your it is you're.

I said, does it matter?

She said, yes it does.

I said, dis is da internet, u use slangs nt n english class.

Then I told her to go to bed.

and googled this
Quote
Which is correct: "your" or "you're" ?

It's very easy to get these two words confused! But there is an important difference in their meanings.

your
"your" means belonging to you.

you're
"you're" is a contraction of "you are".

For example:

Correct: "Here are your instructions for today."

Incorrect: "Here are you're instructions for today."

Correct: "Surely you're not serious!"

Incorrect: "Surely your not serious!"

"Surely you're not serious!"

"I am serious. And don't call me Shirley!"
