Welp, Green Lantern is sounding like a failure!

Didn't the trailer suggest that much?
I would've been surprised if it did well.

Specifically after the interview where Ryan Reynolds said he actually found mistakes in the script (relating to the Oath) and he had to correct it.

Plus he's never been in a successful superhero movie.
Blade Trinity, X-Men Origins, and now Green Lantern.

^Oh shi-
I didn't realise that. It seems a key point in making a good superhero movie is to not include Ryan Renolds :(

Does that mean they should recast Deadpool, then?

I think the actor has already had his 3rd strike.

Also didn't the producer who casted him recently passed away, and Marvel is owned by Walt Disney now which means future movies will come out from a single studio like DC has Warner, which hopefully means they will be very careful rather than other studios trying to cash in while they still can.

But he also tends to be the highlight of those movies.

Who else could play a good Deadpool?

Don't take Marvel to seriously they talk more than they actually do.

Remember when Thomas Jane was attached for Punisher 2.
Or how Ian McKellen was attached to star as a young Magneto in his origins movie?
Or how Nicholas Cage is attached to Ghost Rider 2.

Marvel has tons of projects that never get off the ground.

Punisher 2 was a weird situation, it had a script and everything written up, and Thomas Jane was really excited to get it underway before it went belly-up (mostly because the script was poo). Punisher Warzone was so close to good, with a great lead (Ray Stevenson) and great Director (Lexi Alexander), but the script was also poo.

@Cube:
Word to the wise, unless a movie starts filming (regardless of the studio), don't stress about it.
I mean, look at how many films John Woo's been attached to.

Good point many times a movie is close to filming and everything falls apart.

Happened to King Conan, Halo, Uncharted and so on.

That said, the entire fun is the journey and the best part of the journey is preproduction; hearing who was casted and the locations the film is shooting at are not spoilers instead they are food for thought.

The Justice League movie got really close to filming.
I'm with you on casting announcements. It's nice to have some info to tide you over until the movie comes out.

Bane looks pretty darn cool...

Also I haven't seen it posted anywhere so I thought I would show the trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Looks really interesting. I haven't seen any of the Planet of the Apes films but I really want to check this new movie out.

I find it curious that they chose to go for this Planet of the Apes prequel. I would highly recommend watching the original Charlton Heston version which includes the mother of all twist endings (the script was penned by famed Twilight Zone creator, Rod Sterling).

This one, however...

Anyway, back to the TDKR trailer, they chose to go for a Revenge of the Sith route...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqF8lcKTLw0#ws

This brings up so many details from the TDK, like "a better class of criminals" line uttered by Joker.
I'm also interested to see how Selina Kyle fits into all this madness.
