QuoteClosed Beta details:- In the closed beta test movie it was written that you can go up to level 30. Well Sakai states it is actually level 20, there was a change in the game’s balancing so they had to make the adjustment. Sorry for the mistake.- The character creation demo in April does indeed work offline.- If you’ve applied for Alpha Test 1 or Alpha Test 2 or the Email newsletter you are already in the drawing to participate in the Beta test.- The closed beta expects to have 100,000 players and already 10,000 new entries were sent in. If you reach level 10, you can get a weapon hologram room item you can use in the Open Beta.- They understand your concerns for cheaters in F2P games and will do what they can to provide a safe community. As of now, their plans is to start the PC game officially in early summer. The smartphone version uses the same play data as the PC and Vita version. You can play a single player game that includes character creation, raising your character, go on an adventure with your friend’s character, check mail from your friends, or confirm sales from the shop. The smartphone version is aiming to start in Winter 2012. Since there will be some interlocking connection to the PC version of the game, smartphone users will undergo a test to ensure quality.PC/Vita/Smartphone users can download the official game fore free. On each version the standard game is free. It will be supported by cash items.Their game policy is to ensure that by playing for free there will not be any restrictions on what class level you can go up to. They will not allow the direct sales of highly over powerful weapons (and such) for large sums of cash either. For example, there will be a campaign to receive select game items from purchasing particular Microsoft and Intel products. These items are not intended to rob the motivation of players since these weapons are not powerful, and the same kinds of items will eventually drop sometime after the official game starts.QuoteThe Various Forms of Cash ItemsSystem type items:- Storage and Skill Tree expansion (Instead of skills costing money, you could acquire a new skill tree.)- Add-ons like allowing you to set up a My Room/My Shop, and expanded features in Item Trade services, etc.Consumption Items:- The sales of some consumption items like Scape Dolls. You can of course revive other players for free by using moon atomizers.- Some cash items can have larger effects on health restoration.Limited Time Effect Based Items:- Items that can increase the success rate of grinding, drop boosts, and experience rate. And drop and experience rate boosts will have an effect for a limited time.Avatar Items- You can purchase items that affect your character’s appearance, including variations of clothing and accessories and costumes. Only certain areas of the makeup counter will be charged. Some Cash items are available in “Arks Scratch”. It appears to be some kind of lottery game. With items you acquire from “scratch” you can sell most but not all these items in your player shop and even use them in meseta transactions. There are two styles of scratch. The cheap version consists of various cash items including clothing and accessories. In the slightly expensive version, it only consists of clothing and accessories. (As explained above, weapons are not included here.)Tomorrow he wants to talk about the Character Demo releasing on April 5th.

You will unzip the file then install the contents inside. (Look for a cute baby rappy icon). As shown above, this demo does not need an internet connection to play. The official blog was updated tonight with stuff on the beta. A video was also released. It looks like the same video that was played during the second media briefing. The explanations of some of the new stuff will come below the video. In some good news though, you will be able to change class in the closed beta.www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwkyyoNa-3gShop AreaQuoteTekkerhttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Tekker-Shop.jpgSPECIAL WEAPONs are back. However, any weapon, including not so rare weapons, can appear as SPECIAL WEAPONs. By taking these to a tekker and having it appraised you are allowed to pick the element you'd like on the weapon and one special ability. One additional special effect will then be added to the weapon at random.Beauty Shophttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/makeup-counter.jpgThe Beauty Shop will allow you to edit your character again. However, certain aspects of the beauty shop will use Arks Cash. In the video, you can see the red A marking Arks Cash on the body type and body morphing options.Costume Shophttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/costume-shop-2.jpgA shop to purchase costumes with meseta will be in the shop area too. When you go to buy a costume or part, a window will show you a preview of how it will look on your character. There is also no need to go to any kind of dressing room in PSO2. You can change your parts or costume on the fly.Gate AreaQuoteTeam Counterhttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/team-counter.jpgA Team counter has been added to the gate area. You can put together a team here. However you must be at least level 10 to start a team. Your team can have up to 100 members and you can even register a website in-game. Additionally, there is a team chat function so you can chat with other members of your team from anywhere. Teams will use symbol art (more on that in a bit) as flags.Like PSOBB, the team flag and team name will show up above your character name when you are a member of one.Title Counterhttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/title-counter.jpgMuch like the various handheld versions, PSO2 features titles. These titles can be earned by doing various things and all have rewards. In the screenshot above, the title "You are not alone" can be earned by joining a team and nets you a star atomizer as a reward. You can also pick a title to display above your character name. The titles here are "Knows Echo" (that's an NPC), "New Arks," "Likes Talking," and no-title.Medical Centerhttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/medical-center-2.jpgThe medical center will act like Sayo did in PSP2/i. By purchasing a drink with meseta (and only meseta), you gain a one-mission only special effect. In PSP2/i these were things like using less PP, boosted attack power, boosted defense power, and boosted drop rate. In PSO2, you can choose what particular type of boost you want but the results may be random.CommunicationQuoteMy Roomhttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/My-Room-2.jpgThe number of decorations and variations for players rooms has been increased for the closed beta. There are shelves and tables that items can be placed on and games and other items that can be interacted with. A shopping counter has also been added allowing you to not only purchase items from the visiphone but from player rooms as well. You can put together symbol art from a selection of over 300 parts and can use up to 200 parts at a single time. You can also assign each creation a sound effect. Expect PSO sounds.Arks Cardhttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Arks-Card.jpgThe Arks Card is the guild card/partner card of PSO2. There are several things players can add to their cards including a wishlist and symbol art.Friend Partnerhttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Friend-Partners-2.jpgThe Friend Partner system works like PSP2i friend character system did. By having friends register as partners, you can use your friend's characters as NPC during missions. Any auto-words set by your friends will be used when their characters are used as NPCs too. When you register as a partner, you can select from several different attack types, AI types, and specials.

You can change your parts or costume on the fly.
Team Counterhttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/team-counter.jpgA Team counter has been added to the gate area. In PSO2, you can choose what particular type of boost you want but the results may be random.
My Roomhttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/My-Room-2.jpgThe number of decorations and variations for players rooms has been increased for the closed beta. There are shelves and tables that items can be placed on and games and other items that can be interacted with. A shopping counter has also been added allowing you to not only purchase items from the visiphone but from player rooms as well. You will need to spend AC to have a room but going to other player's rooms is free.Symbol Arthttp://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Symbol-Art-1.jpgSymbol art is the evolved version of symbol chat from PSO.
The Story is going to be accessible in the Closed Beta Test. The player is a newcomer to the Arks and first visits the planet Naberius. Naberius could be the place most chosen for training due to its docile creatures but…The Darkers showed up…You will first meet up with Afin. He’s also new to the Arks just like you. He calls you partner.http://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Afin.jpgYou will also meet Zeno and Echo who are your superiors. Your superiors will teach you various things. There’s also Shion which we introduced before with her strange voice who gives you the Matter Board. These voice actors haven’t played any characters in the Phantasy Star Series until now. What’s also cool is that Sakai has recorded voices for most of the player characters. The story can occur in both story quests and normal quests too.http://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/echo-and-zeno.jpgNow comes the Matter Board which acts as the item that advances the story. You are basically going around collecting Matters for this board. You do this by achieving certain conditions. These conditions can cover things like, acquiring a specific item, or coming in contact with specific characters, etc. The goals for the matter board are shown at the top right corner.http://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Matter-Board.jpgAs you achieve these conditions, you collect matters, and new matters open up. And as you acquire these, even more matters open up and so on. By doing this, you can watch new events show up.http://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/matter.jpgWith the matters you’ve done, when you play story quests again, you may see different developments occur.http://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/matter-opening-up.jpgThere are no Arks Cash elements in Story Quests, you can enjoy them ALL for free! When the game releases, several story quests will be available and more will be added progressively through updates. Could new developments for the story open up based on player feedback? Hmm..?There is now a tutorial to understand the basic functions of the game. It’s up to you to choose whether you want to play the tutorial or not. In the tutorial, your instructor is Yoshiko Sakakibara, well she will be voicing the character “Hilda“. You may know this voice actor for her role as Queen Nehelenia in Sailor Moon!http://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Tutorial-quest.jpgIn Client Orders, you can clear specific requests. By doing so you receive EXP and Rewards!http://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Client-Orders.jpgWhen you meet Arks members through the story, they may hand you their card. Once you obtain their cards, you can invite them to your party.http://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Story-NPCS1.jpgIt is up to the player to invite Story Characters or Friend Characters!http://bumped.org/psublog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Story-NPC-partners.jpg
