Arcade game finder - does this exist?
« on: April 10, 2012, 07:41:33 am »
So I was browsing the interwebs and really wanted to find a specific website, but was unable to find something like it. No, not a plus sized women dressed as Amy Rose site... I know where that is.

I'm talking about a website in which you can search for the location of publicly available arcade games, and a map interface pops up showing where the cabinets can be found.

For example, arcades like Dave and Busters or Gameworks don't advertise what games they have. You have to visit them and walk all over the place to find hidden gems. Who would know that an 8-player Daytona USA machine exists just 20 minutes from my house? Or that I can find all four House of the Dead games at an arcade downtown? Calling a place is pointless, because the employees aren't going to waster their time listening to you running down a list of games they may/may not have.

So if anybody knows of such a site, link me up. Otherwise, it's about time somebody gets on a project like this. Hell, iPhone apps exist where you can find all the public toilets in a city. Just do the same thing, but with arcade games.

I found www.aurcade.com and it let me search for specific games and tell me where they're allegedly located.
