even if fang wins the poll, it's up to Iizuka if he can be used or not

in a summer of sonic interview the year before this year, he was asked by some dude with a strong accent why fang isnt in the games and hes like

Fang? Ooooh, Fang. (evil laughter). Fang is an old character that is no longer part of the series. He is in Generations on posters because were celebrating sonic's 20th anniversary

What I don't understand is the whole rigging business there on both sides (Silver fans and Fang fans).

I would have understood maybe a little bit if Silver fans rigged their side of things....but Fang fans? (assuming that these dude/ttes are older)

I'm glad that I am unbiased to any Sonic character (I see more charm in the worst Sonic characters compared to Mario, that's for sure), but it really sucks how people would stoop so low and rig the poll just to claim first place....what if S0L takes the top three characters into the next poll anyway?

I am glad I am not a devout Sonic fan right about now.

Because he is in charge of Sonic Team unfortunately.

He makes good non-Sonic games though, so he's not all bad.

Iizuka is only in charge of the Sonic series, he's not in charge of Phantasy Star or any of that. Even if it is developed by Sonic Team. All you gotta do is look at the credits to see that

But... I like recent Sonic games.

If Iizuka can bring more stuff like Generations and Colors then I'm all for the guy keeping on keeping on.

I like Iizuka too, but he has some silly viewpoints on certain things and makes some silly decisions ;P but it's obvious hes very passionate about Sonic.

but his ideas on Sonic are the exact opposite of what pure classic Sonic fans want, so that's why lot's of people at Sonic Retro hate iizuka.

I guess I was wrong, but I'm not going to look at the credits to know whether or not he's produced X game, that's kind of being picky about what he does.

His basic ideas are good, but he's not very inventive and ambitious. His interviews make him seem kind of shortminded.

All I know is that he's taken over the posision of a producer and that he looks after things. I don't believe the works on colors quality was his works, neither generations. But he defenitly has had some influence within the general parts.

I wonder if Steve is going to make an Experimental Poll for Sega characters. That'll probably never work either since Vectorman & Ristar are going to get the most votes anyway on that forum. This worries me about Japan only Sega characters and the Hornet.

With regards to "obscure" Jp sega characters I would expect the worst at this point.  I think Sol even explicitly stated that the chances of that were nil.  We can go weep in the corner together Kori.

It looks like Gum was confirmed, bad news IMO. With this and Reala, it leaves little for other IPs.

Their doing the SST routine. Gum is alright, but please no more secondary characters like Pudding, Meemee, or Amiga This game needs real Sega Gals like Alis and Ulala.

I like gum and I think i wouldnt have minded if reala wasnt confirmed yet(raeala was a terrible choice in the first place) but I am very dissapointed seeing it done twice. Sumo had set the expectations pretty high when they said all stages and characters(beside sonic char) woul be unique. To be blunt I dont like this typical lie to excite scheme thats going on the gaming indistry lately.

Both games will have HD remakes however so i hope no more from here
