Yeah Dead Souls was a bit shit I though. I haven't even gotten half-way through.

Anyway, VF6 I think is likely. There's a big arcade trade show coming early this year where it's suspected Sega will show off a new arcade board with some teasers for VF6. I really hope that means we'll get a console release of said game this year too.

Apart from that I'm mostly excited for Total War Rome 2.

Hopefully not just VF6.

When Sega showed of the Lindbergh, we had House of the Dead, After Burner Climax and VF5.

I imagine they would have a couple, but I think VF is always launched to coincide with thier new boards as a showcase.

If Yakuza 5 is gonna come to the west, I'd imagine we'd have to wait quite a while seeing how it just came out in Japan, and I think numbered titles take longer to localize then something like Dead Souls, but what do I know?

I get the feeling Bayonetta won't be until 2014, but that is on my watched list.

I haven't been paying attention to Aliens, but I should. It sounds like it might be good. I think I'll get it on PC if anything though.

I still have to grab Bayonetta, but there isn't much money for now.
Any news on future 'retro' releases? No news about Skies of Arcadia, Burning Rangers or Shenmue?

C'mon, broniks, we already had a 2013 topic! Merged them.

SEGA has quite a bit releasing in 2013 (as seen on page 1):

• Anarchy Reigns - released this week
• Aliens: Colonial Marines
• Bayonetta 2
• Yakuza 5
• The Cave - Double Fine game
• 3 digital and 1 boxed Sonic titles
• 3D Space Harrier for 3DS, and potentially more?
• Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue HD rumored
• PSO2 - Western release
• Total War: Rome 2
• Football Manager 2014
• Virtua Striker and Virtual On for XBLA and PSN (unless they release this December)
• More Vintage Collections

Poor imo

• Anarchy Reigns  - A 2012 game
• Aliens: Colonial Marines - Yes should be great
• Bayonetta 2 - Please this isn't a SEGA game
• Yakuza 5 -a 2012 game and where its yet to be confirmed it come to the west
• The Cave - guess it could be fun
• 3 digital and 1 boxed Sonic titles - Should be good
• 3D Space Harrier for 3DS - wow a game made decades ago and wher the main of the series has been treated like shit by SEGA
• Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue HD rumored - be great , but hardly new games and it will only lead to people hoping for Shenmue III and SOA II and we all know that's not going to happen
• PSO2 - Will be ace, but the game needs to come to the home consoles
• Total War: Rome 2 - Yes
• Football Manager 2014 - yes
• Virtua Striker and Virtual On - Virtual Striker is hardly a game to look forward too
• More Vintage Collections - yes

In the end that list is crap . Either SEGA Japan have all their team working the magic on blockbusters like the SEGA of old, or this is more evidence that SEGA is a shadow of its former self and there's not much for the old SEGA fan to look forward too In-House .

Where is the SEGA that once was the talk of E3 and various other shows with games like F-Zero, Orta, JSRF, VF 4 .

Actually I've been making the point that SEGA been rather poor and a shadow of its former self (non Arcade ) for years .

Sega is afraid of taking risks, and rightly so.

Died? I woudn't say so...more like Andromeda said, a shadow of their former self. But which big time company isn't these days.

We should be expecting a new Team Yakuza game this Year (since there is always one), and a new JRPG hopefully other than Shining...

Sega owns the rights to BAYONETTA just because Ninty is publishing it doesn't stop it from being a Sega property. That's like saying Tecmo lost all rights to Ninja Gaiden 3 when that was exclusivly published by nintendo  or Sega again with SHENMUE 2 when Microsoft published it.

Capcom seems to love angering their fans...they aren't a shadow...they have become the devil!

Valkyria? I recall S0L talking about a reference of Valkyria in Transformed in the SEGA Forums but said something along the lines of "We can't talk more about it til later in the year" (The post was done earlier this month)

Border Break!
Big fan of Claymore, Miria in particular.

Currently playing Yakuza 0.

RE6 was rather controversial...many hated it

Dragon's Dogma was good, but DmC is Ninja Theory and not directly In-house Capcom related.

The bad thing with Capcom is, that all of their great ex-developers are now at Platinum Games, or here and there somewhere else, making huge attention-driving games.

With Sega, they lost Yu Suzuki, Naka and Mizuguchi. But there is either vaporware, or the exact opposite of the games that ex-Capcom people are making. Small games, nobody is noticing.

Sega has a better chance to turn them self-around to greater goodness, when they're in better shape again, than Capcom imo.

its not a SEGA game .
It is owned by SEGA and thus can be considered a SEGA game.
