It was actually pretty good.

Toy Story 3. I weeped in the end.

It was the first time I saw a 3D film with active glasses instead of passive ones. Those things are bulky and uncomfortable. Would I like to try a video game with them? Definitely. Would I play a game for endless hours with them? Probably not...

I watched FlatLiners today on tv.

Movie based around the concept of people dieing in a clinical setting and reuscated moments later to evalutate the exsistence of the land after death.

It stars Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon and several other well known big names.

The movie is 20 years old now

^ Ha! I watched that movie one night on the campus in which it was filmed (Loyola in Chicago) then after having a bit to drink we went out and tried to find the filming locations at 2am. Good times.

I remember Mad Magazine did a small parody of it called 'Punchliners' where comedians would try to die on stage by telling Knock Knock jokes and see if they could recover.

The Expendables - Best action flick of it's type. Awesome stuff.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - I'm a huge fan of the books, so I was cautiously optimistic about this one.  It's only a movie, so there's a good chunk of characterization that doesn't quite make it to the big screen, but I was really impressed overall.  The casting, the music, the look, all fantastic.  I think Wallace was the best translated characters from book to film.
They also change things up a bit from the book, which I really liked.  Better to have it different, but still good, than to have it struggle to be the exact same and fail.

The Matrix as I said on my Galaxy S review. Still good. In fact, still better than Inception. People should all see it again.

Saw Inception, finally. I don't see the reason for all the fuss, the film is easy enough to follow. It was pretty damn good. As for the ending...

[spoiler:27h91fja]I think it was a way for the director to show Cobb was finally living his dream of returning to his children.[/spoiler:27h91fja]

Ellen Page was so cute.

Expendables.

It was fucking awesome. Just... holy shit that was fucking awesome.

The cinema actually broke out into applause a few times, that's how good it was. Everyone needs to see this, this is how you do an action movie.

After all the hype about Inception (which was good, don't get me wrong) I ended up loving Expendables and Scott Pilgrim so, so much more.

Stan Helsing...

Boy, they really don't know how to make parodies these days. Thankfully this movie is not like Disaster Movie and Meet the Spartans were they just make reference, after reference that are just that.

I commend them for sticking to the point, which is a horror movie spoof, but even still, you will get a chuckle once every 20 minutes, and for an 80 minute, that's not good.

Barely worth a rental.

I went to see Machete on Saturday.

Jessica Alba and Lindsey Lohan in one movie? I could only take so much shitty acting.

Lindsey Lohan's character was fine, when it started, but after she had the three-some with Machete and her mom, she should have been killed off. Her later in the movie, was fucking stupid.

Steven Seagal was badass. [spoiler:3f2j43yb]When he gets stabbed in the end by Machete, he could have killed him, but decided not too because he didn't want to see hi in hell.[/spoiler:3f2j43yb]

A few things I hated about the film. First was the low riders and the early 90 stereotypical 'home boy' attitude. THE FUCK. I have not seen anyone act like that since 1993. Fuck off with it. Worse part is when the fucking kid from SPY KIDS is playing one of the gangsters. Are we serious?

Choice in music was perfect, Machete played his part. He is not a stone cold killer, I mean, he kills, but he has a heart. Its not just 'RIP OFF HEADS AND MOVE ON', there is some comedy injected.

Oh, there is a part, towards the end, that tries to get way too preachy. Cheesy preachy.
