Just got back from Wallstreet: Money Never Sleeps.

Pretty awesome sequel. The little nods to the original movie were fun too.

I rented Cop Out yesterday.

Frankly I thought it was decent. The humor was typical Kevin Smith, the cop action was OK, Bruce Willis can play a badass cop in his sleep.
Tracy Morgan was funny, I thought he was gonna pull a Chris Tucker, but he never went down that road.

If you're used to Kevin Smith's style of directing this doesn't present anything new, but you guys probably won't dislike it.

Saw Wall Street 2 last night, good movie!

Funny thing is, I've never seen the first one! But it was still enjoyable, and if anything it put me in the shoes of Shia's character as he didn't know much of Gordon's past just as I hadn't. Looking forward to seeing the first one tomorrow via netflix.

I saw Gattaca off of Crackle: http://www.crackle.com/c/Gattaca (is also on Hulu for free): http://www.hulu.com/watch/46029/gattaca

Film was really really great, shocked I have not seen this yet. Basically in the future everyone is determined their future by their genes. The man character in the movie, Vincent, was given, what is known in the future as a 'God birth'. Basically a normal birth, but in the future a normal birth is a baby with 'selected genes'. They a pre-selected to 'be the best possible'.

He is obviously not going to have the future he wants, due to being genetically inferior. He wants to be a astronaut but that will never happen. His younger brother is a gene baby and has superior genes, he decides to 'drop off radar' and work low end jobs.

He later 'finds' a man the sells 'idinities' and he acquires one from Jude Law's character who became crippled. He has to 'fake' blood and urine tests, remove his dna all the time. He is trying to go to space. Good film.

Just watched The Shadow again. I really like this film and I would say that The Shadow is one of my favorite Golden Age heroes.

The old radio shows with Orson Welles are pretty fantastic too.

Saw Expendables and Iron Man 2 (finally).  I can't understand the hype behind Expendables, it's not that entertaining. I was hoping for more shit to be blown up. Oh well. As for Iron Man 2... [spoiler:2ylrhjcl]So much build up with Mickie Rourke's character and the final, actual, battle lasts for two minutes... Oh well! Very nice either way, but I enjoyed the first one more.[/spoiler:2ylrhjcl]

Yeah, IM2 was a let down. Oddly enough, I enjoyed it in the theaters, but after about a week I could barely recall any great moments from the movie. In fact, it seemed that all the good parts were references to other Marvel movies that weren't even out yet. Here's hoping IM3 stays in the Iron Man universe and deals exclusively with Iron Man characters. Isn't there some evil Chinese dude with ten magical rings? They've been hinting at him almost as much as the Lizard in the Spider-Man movies. Just use the damn villain and stop hinting!

Not really looking forward to the Spider-Man and Superman reboots. To have two super hero series getting a reboot within less than 5 years of the last movie is just plain stupid. Raimi totally could have redeemed himself with SM4 (the third one actually was a huge financial success) by bringing in Kraven the Hunter and having him tracking down Dr. Connors aka the Lizard. Right there you have a great way to introduce two villians and have Spider-Man getting between them.

As for Superman, I'll admit that Superman Returns wasn't the greatest superhero movie, but it was really well orchestrated and shot. It also had a number of epic moments. Again, the director could have easily made a great sequel. In fact, plans were to drop the "Superman is a father" plot (or at least put it in the background) and have an all out Superman vs. Brainiac movie. But I'm certain the reboot will simply bring back Luthor and Zod once again. :P

Christopher Nolan will direct Superman, we can take consolation from that! As for Spiderman, it's true, the reboot doesn't make much sense. Still, I hope it does the series good since the first one was great, the second one was alright and the third one was downright bad with all that stupid emo stuff. Can I have Kirsten Dunst's boobs back though? :afroman:

Yeah, that's the Mandarin. He's Iron Man's big arch nemesis in the comics. It is very likely that he'll be in Iron Man 3, I'll be surprised if he isn't.

Watched The Mist and I liked it. I've never seen or read any of Stephen King's stuff before, but after watching this I would say I'm interested.
