Hmm, looking at a list of 2010 movies, there's not a lot I really enjoyed...

Iron Man 2
R.E.D.
Animal Kingdom
The Expendables
Scott Pilgrim
(In no order)

True Grit came out this year in Australia, and I haven't seen stuff like The King's Speech yet.

I saw Secretariat in an afternoon screening.

I haven't felt this emmotional about a movie in a long time.

Now I can say I watched more than 3 - 2010 movies I actually liked.

I saw both versions of True Grit last week, they were both pretty good. Gonna re-watch The Social Network eventually.

I saw RE Afterlife with a friend a while ago.

It's just... wow. So very random. This was so obviously contrived in order to tie-in some very loose elements with RE 5, but left any serious attempt at making any semblance of a plot.

And so much wasted time just doing Matrix slow-mo rip-offs.

And what was the point of recreating the fight scene between Wesker and Chris from RE 5, with some of the dialogue randomly crossed over?

What the heck was this!?

Battle Los Angeles!

Aliens attack! Bullets start whizzing and pinging by. Both sides suffer casualties throughout all the skirmishes and firefights in Battle: Los Angeles. It’s complete chaos of the most entertaining order. Think Saving Private Ryan or Black Hawk Down or War of the Worlds and Independence Day and consider how the action was shot – hand held, fast edits and a real sense of authenticity – and replace the opposing force with aliens.

It’s kind of awesome from a purely action perspective. The action is the crux of the film, depending on it to carry the film to the end. That usually doesn’t bode well for any movie, but it kind of, by some miracle, works here.

Limitless.

Went into it knowing absolutely nothing. We missed the movie we wanted to see so had to decide between this and 'I am number four'. This one had more DeNiro so we went with this.

Quite good, despite some odd plot holes.

Just came back from a screening of Rango... My body wasn't ready for this.

It's an insane western (dark)comedy with jokes that could've gotten a PG-13 or higher, tripy characters, insane visuals, done by ILM but made with half the budget of a Disney/Dreamworks flick and just as good looking.

Everyone should see it.

I was hating on Rango, because I thought it was made by Dreamworks. Then when I found out it was ILM, I did a 180 and really want to see it. Probably won't see it in theaters, but I'll definitely rent the bluray.

I Watched The Expendables with my Dad last night. I did happen to watch it in theaters when it came out here. Certainly thought it was interesting, the music was alright.
I was intrigued that almost every Action Star participated in the movie to some degree.
Overall I give it a 7 out of 10 mainly for the action/gore and music. :)

I liked this movie a lot. Great characters, ocassionally funny scenes, liked how there's a lot of build-up, since it starts as an innocent teen movie and quickly becomes kinda of an effective end-of-the-world scenario (I felt more tense and nervous than any zombie movie lately). Of course, things got a little "Dwanson's Creek" once in a while, but overall pretty good. I won't spoil anything but the movie kinda ends just when the really good stuff is about to happen, but seeing how are going to make a series of movies. Well, worth the ticket price.
