Allthough they have won I wasn't really satisfied with their play.
I think a lot has come down to circumstance really. v Persie was out injured for five months so his returned wouldn't have been as effective as one would hope (Though thanks to this, he has extra energy compared to everyone else) and him being the spearhead of your attack, you really need him in top form which unfortunately the injury has deprieved him of (Damn you Italy!)
Robben was injured, but is also greedy, add to that the amount of time he could have slipped in other players but went for glory himself...
Kuyt is a great workman like player, I think he is more of a midfielder who hurries the play, his technique otherwise is pretty terrible for a Holland player :lol:
The only player in your attack that has any form has the disadvantage of being the shortest in your team.
Overall though, I think they played as good as they could in this formation, mind my language, but compared to the top defence, Netherlands defence is a bit shit, so they sacrifice that extra bit in attack for a little more in defence. Worked out pretty well for you guys so far!
Thought on the basis of chances, Netherlands slightly deserved it more than Uruguay.
