You're going to make your first post an advertisement for your magazine? Kinda sleazy dude. Obvious that you're only here to gain business from us. Bleh.

I agree with Mengels, tho it isn't against the rules to do but I understand how he feels on the topic. I'll let the thread stand for now and see how it goes.

Though I was granted permission by a moderator (George) prior to posting this, Mengels7 is right, I should have taken the time to introduce myself properly. I'll introduce myself in the appropriate forum whether the damage has already been done or not. Apologies to those of you who I may have upset.

However,

Obvious that you're only here to gain business from us. Bleh.

Our website does link back to Segabits as well as other gaming communities. Furthermore, upon receiving approval for this thread we offered the site owner(s) a sponsorship opportunity that could, in turn, raise funds for this website.

Thank you.

P.S - Didn't anyone ever tell you if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all?

But what is the point of these magazines? Are price guides really a thing?

Thanks for asking. The short answer is yes, price guides are as much of a thing for video games as they are for automobiles (Auto Trader)
or trading cards. The title of the magazine also originates from the Video Game Trader store in Buford, GA.

To offer further elaboration, the video game collecting community has grown significantly and as a result, price guides have become
relevant. Video game grading has also come into prominence over the last few years, but that is another subject.

As for content we publish collector based articles on homebrews, organizing retro gaming shows, Guinness World Records (Michael Thomasson was verified for having the most games back in 2013) and museums to name a few. Our next issue will feature articles on
Amiibos, DIY on storage units for game collections and video game snacks and foods.

We're giving away free issues for a limited time on Google Play as part of our soft opening on the Android app. I welcome anyone with the proper device to check it out and see what they think.
