Mademan has been banned for crimes against SEGAbits.
Naw, but seriously, I know Mademan is joking (OR ELSE) but like ROJM we try to cover the big news and the trivial news, and everything inbetween. We are a fan site after all, so we try to cover stuff big and small, stuff you are likely to not see at Kotaku or IGN where SEGA is a small fish in a big pond. It's the smaller stuff that makes us unique. Stuff like a Sonic fan game making the front page of wikipedia was something I thought was unique and interesting enough for a news post, and it was a piece of content for Sonic Retro that cross posted to bits.
There are limits, however, to what we'll report on. Stuff like Child of Eden or Crimson Dragon may get a few stories, but nothing beyond their announcement and perhaps SEGA easter eggs. Fan games loosely based on SEGA games that have no real connection outside of "oh, it plays sorta like Golden Axe" are also likely to not be seen. Though fan games based on SEGA IPs, or running on SEGA hardware, would be seen on the front page. However, I'm not against newsing the release of Aki's game once it is completed, given his contributions to the site and community. Gotta help a bro out.
I would like to see our Japanese coverage expand, though I'll be honest a lot of the stuff I see Nerds RT and news are light on content and are more "hey look at this stack of Japanese merch photos". Japanese exclusive games and anime are more meaty and interesting.
Also, ROJM, here's your Kudos:
