Max you don't look very Portugese to me... And I know my Portugese! They spread here like a disease when the EU flood gates opened! =D

Max is very Portuguese. The body hair is evidence alone. What you see in Jersey is the other kind of Portuguese. The immigrants. They come back every summer and I die a little every time I hear these people not speak Portuguese (favouring the language from the country they live in) in a miserable attempt at being posh.

I someone said to me once, that from that photo, I kinda look Canadian(the red shirt, the beard, the hood). And there was a jar of roses next to me.

Since we're on the subject, fluffly kinda looks like Bentley Jones's younger brother. And that's a compliment.

I don't doubt that he is Portuguese, but he doesn't have the typical look of someone from Portugal or Madeira. Body hair is not exclusive to Portuguese... lol. You should see a couple of my friends... it's like a forest.

When I think of Portuguese men there are usually 2 types that stand out... The short fat dumpy ones that may or maynot have a mustash and the tall, clean shaven, vest wearing gelled hair ones. This is what we have here anyway.

Funny that most immigrants are in fact like that lol

Actual Portugal has more variety of people I think. There are some "molds" but it all depends on where you live in (~cash flow~)

On the Gay discussion that was taking place I have to say I did not read any of the scientific references that Sharky posted but I do have Clinical experience, I've come across 2 gentlemen who can be classified as gay.

Subject A: Had more then enough child hood problems that would render him with an attraction towards men, from the Psychodynamics (Freud's Perspective) suggests several reasons for a child to grow up to be homosexual if certain variables are intercepted/not intercepted in the early child hood between 3 to 6 years of age (ages may vary).

Subject B: Made a clear choice. I can not go into detail how he made a choice, but it was around the age old belief that if one were trapped on an island with a member of the same gender for an extended duration, with time your need for sexual gratification will eventually rise to a level, that you'd be willing to participate with sexual acts with the same gender.

The subject after his gay experience, went on to lead a life committed to a female and never took part in sexual activities withthe same gender, however did acknolwedge that Anal intercourse is more pleasurable from him than Vaginal, but that could be attributed to the fact the subject was never permitted to participate in Anal intercouse with his significant other.

I can't go in any more detail due to ethical reasons.

But the data that I have collected with the 2 subjects supports the humanistic Carl Rogers theory of a choice.

Actually Pandas are more related to rodents or dogs than bears.  It's like "starfish" aren't really fish, or sea horse...

And Cube, you're a psychologist?  I thought you were in college.

I've always subscribed to the biological theory about homosexuality.  If you cram a bunch of rats in a cage that's overcrowded, some of the offspring become asexual, and some of the offspring become homosexual.  It's a natural correction by nature to curb overcrowding of a species.  The crowding causes a stress in the parents that effects the DNA of the offspring.  It's also not on or off, there are degrees to it.  That's why there are such thing as bisexuals.

Saying it's a choice is the homophobic way of reassuring everyone that you yourself can't be gay because you choose not to be.  The fact is, if you ask 90% of people who are homosexual, and they will tell you it's not a choice, it's something they are born feeling.  I have a friend who is gay, and he acted  that way (ie, not attracted to girls) long before he even understood the reason.

Final year bachelors and since I am not going into clinical psychology for my majors I decided to picked up counselling and psychopathology as extra courses (so I graduate as a Organizational psychology as well as a Clinical Psychologist, but I picked the subject for fun so I didn't study it to much and I'm not very good at it either).

Look I am not disputing any researches, I am simply reporting my findings, that are documented and if in the event I can get consent from the subjects (read not going to happen) I can even publish my findings, but as of now I can't share more then I already have.

Actually it is a beard styled to emphasize the goatee region.

Here's a side view to better illustrate my point.
I've edited the brightness; for clarity and cropped it enough to meet the upload requirement of this message board.
