I've always subscribed to the biological theory about homosexuality. If you cram a bunch of rats in a cage that's overcrowded, some of the offspring become asexual, and some of the offspring become homosexual. It's a natural correction by nature to curb overcrowding of a species. The crowding causes a stress in the parents that effects the DNA of the offspring. It's also not on or off, there are degrees to it. That's why there are such thing as bisexuals.
Saying it's a choice is the homophobic way of reassuring everyone that you yourself can't be gay because you choose not to be. The fact is, if you ask 90% of people who are homosexual, and they will tell you it's not a choice, it's something they are born feeling. I have a friend who is gay, and he acted that way (ie, not attracted to girls) long before he even understood the reason.
