« on: April 06, 2015, 10:22:20 pm »
Reading from his site, the game is finally almost complete, character rosters has been maxed, still the maker feels he has to add some power-ups  and a few other things.

List of the fighters :

- Wang from Kung Fu Kid,
- Steve from My Hero,
- Tom-Tom from Wonder Boy In Monster Land,
- Alex Kid from Alex Kid in Miracle World,
- Opa-Opa from Fantasy Zone,
- Psycho Fox from Psycho Fox,
- Joe Mushashi from Shinobi,
- Mick from Ghost House,
- Doctor Social from Master of Darkness,
- Teddy Boy from Teddy Boy,
- Bin from Dynamite Dux,
- Riki from Black Belt,
- JJ from Zillion,
- Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog

Secret character :
- Alis from Phantasy Star.

Secret final boss character :
- Not gonna spoil here, but you'll be surprised to meet him/her/them.

Both of secret characters are playable via code. You'll get the codes after finishing the game in the highest difficulty.

I've been following the development of this as he's posted updates at Sega8bit.com's forums... this game looks awesome and is a great gift to fans of the Sega Master System and the Gen/MD!!

Thanks for posting this. I remember hearing about it a while back. Felt great to play. You can tell a lot of thought went into it. Each player controls they way they do in their respective games. Pretty sweet all-round.

Yeah, but since each player controls they way they do in their respective games, the gameplay's becoming rather unbalanced. Opaopa's too damn overpowered.

But it's a great game for homebrew. The difficulty's also brutal, just like old school games used to be. I never beat highest difficulty without using save state.

I'm hoping there's a cartridge release at some point so I can review it. This looks fucking awesome!

Why not just playing it using EverDrive Cartridge for Genesis/Megadrive?

Quite simple, Berto! I don't have an Ever Drive.

Don't dig on emulators, so the only reason for me to own one is to play unreleased games and/or home-brew titles. Besides, I'm a collector. I want a cartridge, or a disc. It's kinda' my thing.

The developer has said he doesn't want to risk getting into any kind of legal trouble, so the chances of him selling a run of cartridges are slim-to-nil.

He's already at risk, since he's developed a video game using intellectual properties owned by another.

True, but his project is noncommercial at this point, so it might not be on Sega's legal radar. In any event, it's probably wise to download it as soon as possible when the finished version is released because unfortunately it's possible he'll be told to not make it available at all. Let's hope that doesn't happen, though.
