Agreed, we don't allow 'gay' to be used as an insult, so 'tranny' should be no different. That said knowing Aki he's not the kind to mean any harm by it, people just forget themselves from time to time.

Tranny's a slur against transgender people, though I suppose it may be used against transvestites, I'm not really sure. Either way, best just not to use slurs unless you happen to fall into the people they're used against (I've used queer a lot as an affectionate thing, even though most non-LGBT people would rather use it as an insult).
