There's actually gonna be new content for Sonic Forces!? I figured Sega abandoned that game. Despite how meh it was I'll be interested in seeing what new content they will bring to it.

not the console/PC version.
May be because the mobile version has more good reviews than the console/PC version.
Also because the game and the community is still pretty much alive.

Early Knuckles the Echidna art and details emerge from newly uncovered internal document

The document is chock full of interesting tidbits, including a humorous placeholder for his name which is literally “(Name)”.
Also, it is stated that Knuckles crates a whirlwind to knock down walls. Of course, in the final game he just sort of walks into walls and “punches” them.
But this ability DOES appear in the Sonic 3 Happy Meal which has the Knuckles toy spinning in a dust cloud. Also, Espio does eventually have such abilities.

Q : Would you ever want to see a full-on Sonic comic video game?
Ian Flynn : Yes and no? Yes, because again, that would be just super freaking cool.
Like if they adapted any of the arcs that we've done into a game, that would be crazy awesome.
But I don't know how well some of them would translate versus others because with comics, what you have is the story as the main driving force, the narrative is what carries you from month to month. And you can tell your stories in these episodic formats.

If you saw our Knuckles news, we’ve got more! In sharing the Knuckles document, a discussion within a private Facebook group led to a mention of an eBay seller in possession of SEGA Technical Institute documents.
The documents are being sold for (in my opinion) obscene amounts and it just goes to show the difference between an archivist and a collector.
Some real cool stuff is being revealed that has been literally sitting on people’s shelves for years!
