Sega Classic Golden Axe
« on: January 04, 2016, 03:10:52 pm »
I have looked high and low for a Game Genie region bypass code for the Sega Classic release of Golden Axe, but it is nowhere to be found. Help?

HARDWARE: Sega Classic release of Golden Axe, plus original Japanese Mega Drive from 1988 and the original Genesis Game Genie.

I will also get technical and note that my Sega Classic Golden Axe has the ROM labeled "SEGA MPR-14930-S 9317 D". You can tell in-game that it's the Sega Classic version when the SEGA Logo Screen shows the logo's outline entirely drawn from left to right instead of lines being drawn from the upper-left corner of the logo down to the bottom-right corner, and instances of the SEGA Logo feature a trademark symbol instead of a registered trademark symbol.

I don't know, but I would suggest, if you haven't already, check with the forums at http://www.sega-16.com/ ...some of the folks there might know the answer. Good luck!

... which would be great if my e-mail address were not banned (and I don't have an account there).

No real help whatsoever from Assembler. Now I have a headache from trying to make a region bypass code, and I really need help.

Why won't you use region converter like Nitro Adapter, Mega Key, or Magic Key?
They're very cheap nowadays (at least in my country it's around $5, "used" of course, not brand new).

I asked for a region bypass code via the Game Genie, not other devices. Sega-16 and Assembler wouldn't help me, and I am stuck.
