TGA still seem to be somewhat influential though given I never seen Sonic Frontiers and Genshin Impact so much talked about before.

Meme-wise may be?
I don't know about anywhere else, but both of them are very popular on Facebook and Twitter even before TGA.
Sometimes one of them became top tending on Twitter.

I'm really glad of how successful Frontiers was. If you ask me could still use a bit of polish and tweaks here and there but still a superb Sonic game.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh0mANgFWwI

I'm glad too. Seeing the game's already doing well, they could have just move to next project but they chose to support by giving more free DLCs next years. Very nice of them.

I imagine the next Sonic game will be somewhat recycled from Frontiers.
And that is not a bad thing. Something I think they should of done for Sonic Forces. If Forces was recycled from Generations I'd say be a huge improvement.

But while the game was well received, I still hope they improve on the gameplay a bit. Not only would I love an open-world Sonic game with physics and momentum like Sonic Adventure, I found the new control scheme a bit confusing. I found the "Skills" just flashy and mostly pointless at times, especially in Cyber Space where skills were never used at all and the gameplay didn't feel as fast as it could be. Something that could of easily be remedied if they leaned the gameplay more towards how Sonic Speed Simulator did it.

At least, I hope Sonic Team are working on the next Sonic game. I am looking forward to Frontiers DLCs... Yet to get the Christmas Sonic DLC though, is that a newsletter subscription thing like the SA2 shoes or what?

I think the flashy things were needed to catch attentions.
They look cool in the trailer and made gamer curious.

But now that the game is out and the curiousity is of course gone, they better focus on something else that improves the gameplay more.

Not subscription thing, they'll be available right away at the shop starting from December 21, just like Monster Hunter costumes DLC before.
Not forever though, the costume will be taken down from store after a period of time but still unclear when.

I agree. As I suggested if the gameplay was more like Sonic Adventure or Sonic Speed Simulator it would really help.

What about Steam DLCs, will I be able to pick mine up there?

Or they could always remake Sonic Adventure or ask Gamefam to make a full Sonic game.

Of course. Now that the number has revealed, digital version sold most on Steam (Physical on Switch) so SEGA wouldn't abandon PC players.

Or they could always remake Sonic Adventure or ask Gamefam to make a full Sonic game.
I dunno if Gamefam would be ideal choice though they do have veteran programmers on their team. All Roblox games are made with Roblox Studio and Sonic Speed Simulator, while more polished and professional than other Sonic Roblox experiences, is still made with the same program. Thus we don't know how well Gamefam would be at recreating the gameplay and physics on the engines and programs than Sonic Team uses, or the very least Unity.
But I've seen Sonic fan games made on Unity that also have the Adventure gameplay down well so Gamefam wouldn't be the only contenders if Sonic Team needs a third party to make Sonic Adventure remake.

That's good to hear. I hope for my Christmas DLC soon.

I see your point but I think Gamefam doesn't have to work it alone, they could team up with another Sonic fan games maker. Sonic Mania came from a lot of people too.

True but I have been hearing some bad stuff to do with Gamefam.
