You've finally started it.
That looks cool, the contrast colours between character and background.
Yeah I ported the map from an .FBX file so the texture-wrapping should be there. I just dunno how to apply the texture to it.
Also, it's likely most of it's going to be non-solid, with invisible cubes and spheres to serve as boundaries to the rubble and most other things.
Thing is though, to function as an online game, I dunno what limits I am to expect. The plan here is:
- Able to create and play as your Avatar. Unlike Sonic Forces, able to mix-and-match your Avatar parts for more unique creations.
- Obbies. At least 8 of them. Each public so you can see other players running along them.
- Wispons. I won't do all of them, just Burst, Cube, Lightning and maybe Hover. These wispons will function slightly different from how they worked in Sonic Forces. With certain obsticles and gimmicks in mind.
- Arenas, or "Battle Mode" as I call it. I'm not sure how I will do this but the idea is maybe a single experience or map with an arena copy-pasted and placed side-by-side about 8 times or so and players can schedule a match with a time limit and part take in a battle. That or I'll just make a variety of arenas, one each and allow them to be free-for-all fights.
- Three types of shield. Barrier Shield, Flame Shield (which protects against fire and Burst Wispon) and Lightning Shield (which protects against electricity and Lightning Wispon)
If this Roblox game becomes popular enough (Like, I dunno, a million likes) I have ideas for a sequel, more fleshed out version of the game. But I want to learn the limits of Roblox,
servers.
My main inspirations are
Pyrite Adventure 2 and
Despicable Forces and they seem to be able to have obbies (or "stages") on separate servers and I'm wondering if there is a limit to that.
