What even else is coming out in 2016? It feels like a friggin' drought of movies is happening this year. Everything that I could want to see has already been out, what else is there?

...wait, isn't the new King Kong by Legendary out this year? Or was that next year?

X-Men, Rogue One and Suicide Squad are my most anticipated. Star Trek Beyond is my least anticipated. Looks awful.

Today, the massive and uncontrolable will of the universe has set it's sights on me and has destroyed me. Can't concentrate at work, I feel down, a lot of bad luck this morning alone, the weather is absolute crap and the news stories are ubber depressing.

Ordered a 4K TV, let's see what the fuss is all about.

(aka: "why didn't I spend this money on a bigger 1080p TV")

I bought a 720p 42" plasma way back when. My research found that at 42", a 720p TV is pretty much the same as a 1080p when sat at the proper viewing distance. Also, plasma's are not manufactured as much anymore, and they have some of the best black levels. The recent Godzilla on a Plasma looks so inky black, it's lovely.

Yea. I was split between a 48" Samsung and a 55" LG IPS panel.
I read that the IPS screens don't achieve true blacks, only very dark grays. Personally, that irks me. I went with the 48" Samsung as it seems to have very superior picture quality. It's still mid-low range, so it was pretty cheap (450e) and in a couple years I'll get an high end 55" OLED or something (if I don't go broke by then)

I'd love to have a good quality plasma. I hear that you can still get them for an affordable price in the US and UK. Here in Portugal it's impossible really, they are either very old SD models or very expensive imported HD models. We have a very very tiny market for high quality displays.

One think I really love about my Panasonic plasma is the amount of inputs.
