Phantasy Star Online 2 ARKS EXPO 2022 Announced

The ARKS EXPO 2022 event will be held on July 17, 2022 at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition center in Japan. This is the first time the event has been held at a physical location in the past three years.
The ARKS EXPO 2022 event will feature Phantasy Star Online 2 10th anniversary exhibits.

I know Sega of Japan themselves hosts PSO2 coventions regularly in Japan, but ever since the game officially became international has their been other official PSO2 expos in other countries?

The PSO2 anime gave me the impression that PSO2 conventions are a regular thing in japan which is something I find it hard to believe because I don't find PSO2 that good to make a huge convention out of.

I mean BlizzCon covers not just Warcraft but all Blizzard franchises so that makes sense. Annual conventions for PSO2 not so much for me.

While PSO2 Global is only 2 years old in the west, it's already 10 years in Japan.
In 2012, PSO2 was a very big thing in Japan.
Also adding a fact that everybody there could play the game almost anywhere (PC, mobile, PS4, PS5, PS Vita, Switch).
And many collaboration with popular anime and events in Japan.
It's popularity difference between JP and western is too big.

True. But I still don't see what the big deal with PSO2 is. I mean yeah I can see why people would like the aesthetic and fashion of it but that seems to be the sole reason for it.

Right now may be the aesthetic and fashion, but 10 years ago having played MMORPG with the latest graphic technology for free with friends are still rare experiences.
