Way back in February 2015 we reported that the popular Hi-sCool! Seha Girls cg anime series was getting a blu-ray and DVD release in the west by Discotek Media. Now, a little over two years later, we finally have the final cover art and a date! The complete series of Hi-sCool! Seha Girls is due out on May 30th, 2017 in a blu-ray DVD combo pack. This was revealed on the Discotek Media Facebook page along with a description of the upcoming release.

Three girls meet for the first time at the start of a new semester in a brand new school. But these aren’t just any girls, and this isn’t just any school! Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, and Mega Drive might be the names of SEGA gaming consoles, but at Sehagaga Academy, they’re also three girls destined for greatness! Or at least a nostalgia trip. Wacky hijinks ensue when the girls are tested not on their math and science skills, but on their ability to complete challenges inside (literally!) classic SEGA video games. Can they fight their way through the blocky polygons of Virtua Fighter? Can their dance moves get them high enough ratings in Space Channel 5? And that isn’t all! More challenges await on the road to gaining 100 medals in order to graduate, but the Sega Hard Girls won’t let something like absurdity keep them down! Japanese language with English subtitles.

No pre-order listing or price is available yet, but as soon as we have links and prices to share we will be sure to post up another article.

Well its about time. It took them over two years to produce.

About bloody time. I was seriously thinking it was silently cancelled. No word on whether the bonus episode in the recent Japanese DVD set will be in it, but I doubt it at this point. But at least we’re finally getting it.

Why are they releasing it as a Combo with both DVD and Bluray versions? Does each have something the other doesn’t?
