Okay, so this game comes out like, tomorrow amid deafening silence. Seriously ther has been like NOTHING For this game since the announcement, but it looks potentially awesome.
Naturally you mugs will want to talk about this amazing slice of Sega gaming and this is the place to do it. Any cowboys trying to set up another unofficial and dangerous unlicensed thread for the game will be forced through a chain link fence thus turning them into a pile of diced meat.
Here is a video of the game:

Also this game has no Lancia Stratos, so it's a piece of shit.

Just waiting for the Playstation Store and some reviews from other members, obviously, before I get to pick this one up.

Day one purchase! I'll be all over this, even if I suck at the game.
-
I'll be getting it for the 360. I hope it'll play nice with the MS force-feedback wheel.
-
I reaaaaally wish this was SEGA Rally Championship 1995, but I already have Microsoft Points set aside regardless, not even trying the demo. I loved what I played of Revo, but never bought it because the difficulty REALLY scared me off, but at $10 now it is extremely hard to complain, glad I waited. I am also getting it for a friend who has Revo and can compare it directly for a review on our site.
But on that, what is actually different from Revo? The textures look slightly weaker, but otherwise it seems extremely similar.
Anyone willing to have a SEGA Rally party at the end of the week?
Also, the achievements are brilliantly titled.
-
There are so many Sega games coming out this year and for the first time in years there are more then I can afford. I'm simply going to have to skip some and as I already have Sega Rally 'Revo' this one is looking like a skip at this point.
(Unless I come into some serious money some how...)
-
They're playing it on my TV...
I left my 360 at my parents' place, so I won't get it Day 1. Hopefully I'll get it next month. That, or break down and buy it on my friend's PS3.

I pity your wife, PITY HER I SAY!
Why would I marry a woman who doesn't share my love for Lancia Stratos in Sega Rally? ANSWER ME THAT, SMART GUY!
Anyway, I wanna play this regardless.
-
Went lookin' for it, but it ain't up yet as far as I can see.

Whoa yeah! For some reason I was thinking it was gonna be on the 17th. Hopefully I'll have time to try it out tonight!
-
"Contains 100% Real Mud."
lol.
-
Just bought it off the website, powering up the 360 as soon as I get home :D
Ooh, and I'm home tomorrow until 2:30pm. VT4 and SROA all morning!
-
Had 800 points not being used so I picked it up.
-
It's great fun! Played a few races last night. I still need to get the controls down (my mind is wired to SASASR controls thanks to the months I put into that game).
I love each of these SEGA XBLA titles, it's like adding an arcade cabinet to my living room. Never would have thought we would have a new SEGA Rally, Outrun and After Burner this gen. Next up: SEGA Racing Classic and Planet Harriers. Make it happen, SEGA!
-
I know... especially getting After Burner Climax still kind of blows my mind. If I could just break 1,000,000 points in it... I'm so close...
Anyhoo, I'll finally get to play a bit of Sega Rally this afternoon.

Some neat gameplay videos:
Remake of Desert track from the original SEGA Rally (http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkr7qgl8j74&feature=related)
Revo track that shows steering wheel in use. (Skip to 0:50) (http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX_5GFCRH40&feature=related)
If only I had my 360, or PSN store was up.
-
Giant Bomb did a quick look of the game: http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-seg ... e/17-4142/ (http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-sega-rally-online-arcade/17-4142/)
Do note that these videos are simply their first impressions. They shouldn't compare it to DiRT so much though. Like someone in the comments there said, comparing this game to DiRT is like comparing Ridge Racer to Gran Turismo.
-
"I have never played SEGA Rally"
... really giantbomb staffers never played SEGA Rally?
-
I broke down and ordered it from the Xbox site. Can't wait to retrieve my system next week!
They shouldn't compare it to DiRT so much though.
Agreed. Of course, from my perspective when I played the DiRT demo it was more like, "How does this compare to SEGA Rally?"
I did like in the video where the guys goes, "Did he say 'maybe?' Medium left maybe?" I remember being that guy in 1995.
-
Bought it today. My reaction is an overwhelming 'Ehhhhhhhhhh'
-
Finally played it, love it, need to learn how to carve some corners better. I was pleased to play the classic Desert stage and still do well on it. I have a lot of practice to do before I try to play online again... that's for sure.
-
Once I saw the amount of tracks and the size of the download I held off my purchase for awhile. I actually might wait for a Deal of the Week instead.
How long does it take to play everything? Not beat them, just play.
-
A Quick Race, with 3 laps, takes about 3 minutes. Same with Time Attack and Classic.
-
I'm enjoying it so far. I played online for a little while against someone unbeatable, but it was still fun.
-
I never played against people who were actually good at this game (my friends were terrible), so I've had some intense matches with people. It's a completely different game when human opponents are swerving around and ramming into you. It can be tough to find matches though...
-
I just watched a review of this game, and I noticed something kinda different from not only sega rally, but racers in general.
The camera.
When you turn/steer, the camera stays statically behind your car. I don't know if this can be changed, but it looks a bit awkward... or I may have to get used to it (cuz i'm planning to buy the game).
What do you guys think of it, and do you have an option to change this?
-
I finally won an online match last night, but only one out of about ten races altogether. I notice that bumping into other cars is not that good of a tactic for gaining the lead, as it seems to slow you down a bit.
I haven't really noticed that about the camera being totally static... but I'm pretty sure you can also switch to a hood view. I'll double-check this afternoon.
-
If you are playing Sega Rally, you really should be using the bumper cam... Its honestly the best way to feel like you're playing a Sega Rally game.
Honestly when I got Sega Rally 'Revo' I played a lap in 3rd person behind the car view and I was like 'This doesn't really feel like Sega Rally' then I changed the camera to Bumper Cam and instantly it was like I was playing a HD Sega Rally.
Ended up playing that game right until the bitter end when it died online.
