It's official :D.
According to the Playstation Blog, Space Channel 5: Part 2, and SEGA Bass Fishing will be releasing on the PSN today.
Hopefully the ports have a few less glitches than the PC versions.

Lol well both games don't really have glitches on pc, it's mainly configuration so taking from what i've played I'd say their both good ports.
Bass fishing only got 5 minutes from me. I don't really like it

SC5: Part 2 should play perfectly. It's really a step up from the DC original, both in graphics and aspect ratio.

It loses a bit of it's novelty without the Dreamcast fishing rod controller.

XBL currently has a pic of Bass Fishing and text saying "Get Hooked on SEGA: Fishing, Space Channel 5 and more."
When you choose that link... no Bass Fishing or Space Channel Five yet. Plenty of "and more" though.

Space Channel 5 is just too much fun. Buy it now if you haven't already.

Agreed.
It's the fourth version of the game that I've purchased :D.

The thing that makes me wonder, these games were basically complete when they were released as part of the Dreamcast Collection, so why did it take so long to release them?
-
@max_cady: I really have no clue what would take them so long.
I played through a bit of it last night. I couldn't seem to find the language options present in the PC version. Not a big deal, but probably worth noting.
The game's looking quite nice though. Aside from the pre-rendered cutscenes, everything's looking really nice and crisp.

Blame MS only they decide when a game can go up . The likes of Space Channel 5 and JSR have been finished for ages now .
SEGA China are doing to the DC proud, Space Channel 5 is perfect and even better than the DC version . The only bad part is I miss the Sega that used to makes these games on almost a yearly basis . SEGA should have never closed down or merged UGA and Smilebit imo

It's pretty crazy to look back on the amount of original and quality software they pumped out in the short time that the Dreamcast was being manufactured.
-
Weren't there supposed to be about 20 or so DC titles released by now? Why did Sega take so long with these 2. I don't get it.

Just want to say I've been playing Space Channel 5 Part 2, baught it two days ago and I forgot how awesome it was. The dancing, the colours, the voice acting is really good for its time too... Ah, It's just a great, very 'Sega' game.
Much better than part 1 and less frustrating too.
Man I would love a new one... Rythem games seem to be quite popular these days with Project Diva and Rythem Theif, why can't we have another Space Channel 5!
-
Is Michael Jackson still in the game?
-
Space Michael is forever!

They couldnt take him out with out remaking a lot of it... So thank god he is.
There is a dance off in the game, when you save Space Micheal, that is awesome... his solo vs the mech is amazing.

I hope that more people will get a chance to get hooked on this game. Maybe that'll give SEGA some incentive to bring Q? on board for a sequel :D.

If it means the ports are higher quality, I'm all for them slowing down the pace. Although I didn't think it'd be quite this slow. I think DC games are deeper and longer experiences than many XBLA/PSN games, so it makes sense not to flood the market with them so quickly, but I would like to see some kind of steady flow. Two per quarter maybe.
-
I think they could get away with one per month.
-
Higher Quality? They're ports.. If some dudes in a basement can make an emulator that runs the games on 1080p, why can't Sega? Then just release game images one at a time.
Maybe it's more complicated, I dunno but..

With a bunch of tweaking, I've been able to get the NullDC emulator mostly working, but there's still significant graphical glitches, shadow issues, and instances when the controller simply doesn't respond correctly. So I think it is quite complicated, and probably one emulator is not going to handle all the different game engines correctly. Not to mention when licensing issues come up, as with the Crazy Taxi soundtrack that most people pitched a royal fit about.

Part of it could be getting ESRB certifications, and going through Sony/Microsoft's QA standards.
