Title: Gunlord || NG:DEV.TEAM
Post by: crackdude on October 24, 2011, 05:34:39 pm
The side-scrolling shooter appears to show the influence of the old-school Commodore 64 classic Turrican and Nintendo's Metroid franchise. (http://kotaku.com/5852884/the-newest-dreamcastneo+geo-game-mashes-metroid-with-a-commodore-64-classic)

For the Dreamcast from NG:DEV.TEAM, Gunlord.

Looks awesome

At first I thought it looked bad, but once I saw the different weapons and Metroid rolling... I got pretty excited.

Yeah man! I'm all over this come January! The special edition with the soundtrack and Japanesey cover is what I'll be going for.

Funny how these German developed games go for the faux Japanese look.

Looks cracking, and I loved their last game Fast Striker far more than I was expecting. The Dreamcast has been sorely lacking in the run and gun genre!

Has Sturmwind come out yet? I was looking forward to it, but lost track of it's progress..

As for Gunlord it looks as if they took everything I hated about Metroid and turned it into awesomecakes.

Sturmwind is due 11-11-11! Still holding out for an eventual special edition announcement for that, if it has some cool stuff. We don't even have box art of that yet!

Oh man! I forgot about Strumwind! It looks awesome, but RedSpotGames needs to give more details asap. It's been a dry year for Dreamcast releases thus far.
