For those that don't know, fan-shipping is where somebody in RL pairs themselves up with a fictional character they like via fanart and fanfics. Personally, I think it's totally harmless just as long as the person doing the fanshipping realizes that they (the character they're pairing themselves with) are not real and they will never be in any kind of relationship with them period. To be honest, I know a few people who are fanshippers, and they're really nice and actually pretty cool people.

Of course shipping is totally harmless. Anyone who lets themselves get bent out of shape over it should get a sense of humor and stop treating their own fandoms so seriously.
