Perhaps best known on this site for creating the boxart for the Japanese release of Panzer Dragoon, and being a partial inspiration for the series art-direction, Jean Giraud has passed away.

I don't know much of his work, but after seeing his work posted around the internet recently, I'm very interested in seeing more of it. Everything I've seen has been truly impressive. When I first went on the hunt for a copy of Panzer Dragoon, I even went so far as to get the Japanese version, solely because of how great the box-art was.

Thought it was worth pointing out on here, since i know most of us are big fans of Panzer Dragoon's art direction in particular.

Very sad news.
The Panzer Dragoon art reminds me a bit of Nausicaa.
