Title: Sega Arcade Games
Post by: stevetheman90 on May 18, 2012, 10:08:09 am
So I found this awesome website that has pictures and scans of a bunch of arcade machines and such from Sega. Since Sega is releasing some arcade packs on XBLA some point this year, this raises the question what Sega arcade games would you like to see ported onto the modern counsels/computers/ios/droid/handheld?

I would love to see a classic pack with games from the pre Yu Suzki years.
And Border Break that game looks sick.

Some old, and new ones that it'd be nice to play at home:

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker
Golden Axe: The Revenge of the Death Adder
The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Planet Harriers
Ollie King
Hummer
Rambo

I'd love a port of Daytona USA2. Its never had a console release and the only cabinet i ever found was in an airport departure lounge. It'd be a whole lot more fun without having to get frisked by security first. I'd also love to see SCUD race rereleased, but i assume there'd be licensing issues with that one, especially since Outrun Online got pulled a while back.

SCUD race is at the movie theater here, but it's SEGA Super GT.
Pretty solid title.

Most disappointing thing for me was finding out Quartet had no ending.  It just keeps looping back to the first stage.  *sigh*

I'd love an HD version of the good Super Hang-On.  Easily one of my top 3 SEGA games.  When I say good version, I mean the one you play when you play the stand-up version.  The one for the deluxe sit down model has the track patterns altered and is ridiculously easier.  That's the one on the Wii Arcade and I'm afraid that's what they're porting to 360 :(

Always wanted to try Planet Harriers.  There's a guy finally making some progress with a Hikaru emulator, so maybe I'll get the chance in a year or two.
