Title: Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse

Just found this while looking around the internet. Revolution Software are bringing Broken Sword back to it's roots in classic 2D form. There looking to raise 400,000 through Kickstarter. Sounds really promising. I liked the 3D ones, but the series does feel more at home in 2D I think.

Well I didn't see this coming. Nice find.

So far the concept is great and i'm glad their going back to the origins as much as possible, yet the decision to keep it 3D yet cartoony is not 2d though, but I like it still

The model for Georgre Stobart looks horrible as of now though

Broken Sword is like a youth sentiment for me because when I was young, I always loved watching my brother play untill I got older and recently finished the directors cut myself.

Luckily, they're listening to fans input. They've already made changes to it. Here's the old and new George to compare.

It is just me, or did they hire the guys from Pendulo Studios? Because the artwork in the Kickstarter projects feels very reminiscent of Runaway: A Road Adventure.

Think it's the 3D models more then anything else. The world its self doesn't look as cartoony as Runaway etc.

Again, what we're seeing is early stuff though. There are hoping to make the 3D models look more like 2D sprites though.
