Sega pulled another Saturn, they just announced and released Typing of the Dead Overkill on Steam for $19.99. It's also temporarily 50% off because of a Halloween sale making it $9.99 for now: http://store.steampowered.com/app/246580/
This is by far the biggest Sega game release today.

Had to type his on Web of the Dead ASAP but yeah! Type or DIE!

$10 is a great deal
need to rehook up my main extra HDD though. my main windows partition only has 7GB left on it
-
bought, for $8 at GreenManGaming. It's a front page deal and it's a steam code. Hit it up!
Now where's the first game? That should have come first. Also:

I asked for a producer credit on Twitter, wish me luck

OK, now this was something completely out of the left field! Bought it and downloaded it even as we speak (hope they release the original Overkill on Steam, though).

I've read that the original Overkill is included as a bonus. Can't confirm though as I haven't played it yet. Hopefully will play it later today.

It includes the original in TotD. As for the game, having played it, not as good as the first. Would have preferred they just added widescreen to the PC port of the first game and released that on Steam. Then maybe announced TotD2 for PC.
Either way, it's still cool and nice to see this sell well for SEGA.

It does? First I heard of that. Are you sure that you're not confusing it for the port of the PS3 version of House of the Dead Overkill that's included?
-
Confirmed. This game includes the original HOTD: Overkill.
Don't know if it's the original Wii version or the PS3 expanded version. Will let you guys know soon.
But damn, two games in one package? Now that's a bargain!
-
It's said to be the PS3 version.

Pretty great surprise release! No one saw this coming. I've always been amazed and amused with the Typing of the Dead. I think it's cool that it's a new version based on Overkill, not just a re-release of the DC games (although those do deserve a re-release too).
-
Sorry, I meant HotD:Overkill, also if anybody has their Wiimote set up on PC you can supposedly use that on hotd:ok
-
Psst, wrote a review to the game on the front page which you can read here:

This game is... awesome!
Seriously, I kid you not. Yes, it's an older game (the original Wii version came out nearly 4 years ago) and you can't tell that graphics don't really impress.
But despite the older graphics they were creative with 'em. I was used to playing the HOTD: Overkill - The Lost Reels on my Android Phone, but this little sucker blows it out of the water!
This is the perfect Halloween game! It has profanity, an intentionally bad plot with equally deliciously bad dialogue. The plot is uncomplicated but it's the character interactions are awesome. Everyone, be it the good guys or the bad guys are jerks in their own way.
