Hi, for the ones that are interested and know japanese XD here is an interview of SEGA japan and the localization of SASRTransformed to japan.

It seems pretty interesting but the translation is so butchered in Google I can't really understand any of it.

The game did terrible in the japanese chart.
2k copies sold.
It's not fair, the game is excellent.

Is true... oh well i am sure that there where not expecting much of it. I just hope that the quality that Sumo digital brought to Japan "push" Sega japan to make an All stars from there.

Sega Japan didn't expected too much for this game (in the Fiscal Year report, they literally expect 0 copies of this game :X ).
The principal reason is that MK8 is more expected for the japanese audience than this game.

I also wonder if the hardcore SEGA fans in Japan didn't already import ASRT from the West?

That may be, there are some SASRTransformed youtube videos from japanese guys who import the game. Also according with Famitsu the sales of the PS3 version where of 2724 copies and the Wiiu version of 2242. So 5000 copies aprox which i think is not so bad considering the regular performance of others non-handhold consoles games.
