It might just be the first Fable game I end up playing because of that.

Fable: Lost Chapters was on PC too. The first one. Get that .

Do they actually follow the same story?

No, I don't think so.
I can remember seeing my friend playing the early parts of Fable II, and it seemed to be a brand new story from the childhood days of the protagonist's life to adulthood. That tells me that it was an entirely new adventure.

True, new stories, same world. This 3rd one you play as a king.

The second game takes hundreds of years after the first, and in the third game you place as the son or daughter of the character you played in the second game, though that is not needed and you can just start a new game without playing Fable II.
I am not really a fan of the series, but I did not hate what I played of the first two, I guess.

Fair enough.

The first chapter of the second game is available for free on Xbox Live. You can also try that, George.

Why would I do that? I already completed the second game.

Oops. I meant Soup.

Yeah, but the main reason I'd be looking at picking any of them up on PC is that I don't have a 360. Just most of the other consoles.
