The OP claimed that it was his deduction of the responses, and humans are far from perfect.

As much as I'd love more reasons to dislike Ubisoft, I think there is reasonable room for doubt. You'd think that if Console makers really wanted to stop PC they would go after their number one publisher: EA, but that has not been the case.

So I doubt this story is as straightforward as described.
