In a rather surprising turn of events, a recent post to the PlayStation Blog has revealed that Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX is scheduled to be released in North America later this year.Developed by French Bread and Ecole Software of Melty Blood fame, FIGHTING CLIMAX features a cast comprised entirely of figures from various Dengeki Bunko-published light novel franchises, including Sword Art Online, Accel World, Durarara!!, Oreimo, and more. Support characters extend the representation even further to include Sega properties like Virtua Fighter and Valkyria Chronicles.
With such a vast amount of players involved, it’s a wonder the game ever left Japan, but here we are.
Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX is expected to launch for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, both through retail and digital platforms, sometime this summer.

Nothing against this game, but why is this getting a retail release and Yakuza 5 is digital only? :-\

Retail releases are only for US, Europe's only getting digital version.
We can read those European players who're mad about that in the comment section below:

Probably because the cost for this is more likely cheaper than Yakuza 5, even with licensing. Plus some of the titles featured here are quite popular if I'm not mistaken (Sword Art Online for one).
I'm personally excited for this mainly for the SEGA stuff and I'll look for a retail copy...which is a relief because I was on the fence with importing it (because import prices for one) and now I can simply buy it at a store.

Poverty Fighter doesn't mean I'm judging the game, silly.

Uhh...I guess I'll buy it. Make the Vita a little busier, why not.
