Leonard Nimoy, the actor perhaps best known as the narrator of the Sega Dreamcast game "Seaman," has passed away at 83. He also did some work for the series "In Search Of..." and "Star Trek."
Okay, silly mis-ranking of best known work aside, RIP.
I did enjoy his narration in "Seaman" a lot, though. In particular I remember how exasperated and disappointed he would sound if you pressed the button to skip past the information he was relaying.

He had a few memorable appearances on The Simpsons. Don't forget the "An Ode to Leonard Nimoy" segment on Freakazoid!
Rest in peace.

On the same day that Fred Rogers did too(12 years ago).
Our neighbor and our most human soul. Cryptically touching.

Leonard Nimoy deserves a place in every thread topic. It's very depressing that he has passed. His legacy shall live always. He lived long and prospered.
