I believe this hasn't been made topic before.
I do enjoy Kori-Maru's coverages last year on MomoCon 2014.
Happy to know that he's gonna attending again. :-D
MomoCon, the largest gaming expo in the Southeast U.S., has announced that Gearbox Software, Sega and ThatGameCompany will be hosting panels at this year’s event. Also in attendance will be Hi-Rez Studios, Vlambeer and over 130 other companies exhibiting their games to an expected audience of 20,000 gamers.
Planned Panels:- Sega 3D classics – a discussion regarding remastering masterpieces
- TEMBO THE BADASS ELEPHANT - playable demo
- Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax!
- Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX
MomoCon 2015 will be taking place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 31.

So MomoCon is a games convention? Some things I just avoid all knowledge of based solely on the name...(bad practise I know.) MomoCon is one of them.
-
From the name I thought it was a creepy anime convention.

Yep that is the image I had too... Creepy little girl anime with fat sweaty neck-beards circling like sharks.

Rrrr.. actually... so did I. MomoCon sounded like in the same league with lolicon or yuri con. ;-D
But seeing Kori-Maru's video last year playing classic Shinobi at MomoCon, suddenly I realized how wrong I was.

What does the 'MoMo' stand for? I'm too scared to click the link at work in case it brings up lots of little girls in bikinis or something.
-
You guys sound like out of touch old men. "Wuh? Momo? That have pedos and little girlies in their underpants?"
From all accounts, MomoCon is a cool event. Great to see SEGA hosting panels.
As far as the name, a simple Google search will tell you that "momo" is "peach tree" in Japanese. The convention is in Georgia, peaches are the state fruit. it's not some skeevy reference to something.
-
Thanks for taking one for the team Bazza.
Also I noticed Gearbox and Sega are both going to be hosting panels. I wonder if they'll be flinging shit at eachother the whole time? Or maybe Gearbox will sell Sega a bridge in Connecticut somewhere for a great price.

A full on Gearbox meltdown would make the event. God, I wish I was there for some mic grabbing douchery asking them why they are such hacks.

Is Randy Pitchford still with Gearbox?
I haven't (and don't wanna) read anything tied with Gearbox after Alien:CM incident, emotional reason.
-
Yes, he is still CEO of Gearbox Software.
-
I wish I could go to Momocon for the Toonami panel.

The MomoCon App is now updated with the MomoCon 2015 information.
You can find the app on the Google Play Store and Apple iTunes store by searching for 'MomoCon' or using the QR codes below.

Try to start a fight between Sega and Gearbox.

Can you play and record gameplay of TEMBO? It's pretty much the only thing I'm interested unless they show off more Total Warhammer.

I feel like they are going to hold Warhammer until E3.

Outside of maybe bugging them for a release date for Yakuza 5 and Dengeki Bunko (plus something something PSO2)...any chance of the Western release of the latter getting the patch they've recently announced in Japan? Were the licensing issues a big hurdle?
Any chance for the 3D Classics series to include the Phantasy Star series? Sonic 3 & Knuckles? 3D or Saturn titles? Knuckles Chaotix? :P
-
Keep them coming. Might need more questions on Project Mirai and Tembo.

Keep them coming. Might need more questions on Project Mirai and Tembo.
For Tembo:
-How did the idea for Tembo come about?
-What influenced the gameplay? And Art style?
-What skills does Tembo have?
-How many worlds and how many levels?
-Are their boss battles?
-Will we see more complex physics based puzzles further in the game?
-Any Online Functions?
-How did Game Freak come to work with SEGA?
-What was Sonic Team's involvement?
-Any chance of a mobile/smartphone version?
-Is it strictly a stand alone game or is their a possibly of sequels?
-When will it be released?
-
Nice, I plan on sending the questions to the community managers at midnight.
