Yeah, the Wii was a massive success because it came with motion day one. This is an addon. Don't even try to compare it. Why would 'casuals' leave their wiis to pay more for this and 3-4 games this fall?
Wii is cheaper and has over 400 games.

PCs cost thousands of dollars, there is no way people will leave their Wiis to play PopCap games.
I am just saying I would not write it off right away. I mean, remember when we all laughed at SEGA when they said Mario & Sonic 1 would sell 7 million?
Also, nice gif, the game in the back looks like a total classic, way better than anything Microsoft ever made.

I didn't mean to imply I thought it would be a huge success, just explaining why I thought MS would be pushing it so hard.
In any event, I don't think I'll buy it unless it has some really impressive games, which I doubt it will.

Microsoft already said its not for hardcore, then even said the reason they are letting fashion mags look at it before 'gaming' sites, is cuz its not aimed at gamers.

I'm holding off harsh opinions until E3. I can see some awesome things coming from Natal, just as I can see some shitty things coming from it.

Motion controls are shitty since day one!
Wii is a pure crap with that control. I hate that thing and probably will hate more Natal and PS Move than anything.

Seriously, I have this for the Dreamcast but the IR sensors don't pick up anything decently. I wish I had a Wii.

Samba de Amigo was a fail at the arcades. I've played it at that time and no one liked it.

Nope. Not at all. It simply WORKS, and that's good enough for me :D
It's a personal problem though, since I don't have a large space to play it.

The only thing off-putting about the Wii version is that you have to use two Wiimotes. At least that's what it looks like. I've never played Samba de Amigo before.

^You CAN use a Nunchuck, but I don't imagine it working anywhere near as well.

Nunchuk option sucks because it doesn't have a good accurate sensor.
With 2 Wii Mote, they both have IR sensors at the end for accurate movements and pointing.

I only ever played with a Wii Remote and a nunchuck. I never played the game on the Dreamcast. I think it plays fine, however it's a bit restrictive and you really have to have a notion of how you're holding the controllers. It didn't stop me from unlocking all the songs and beating all the single player modes... Plus, it's great on parties.

The infrared sensors aren't used in Samba for anything other than navigating the menus.

Dreamcast SdA with the official controller is excellent. Once you have the correct height selected, you can play the game with supreme ease. No stupid tilting of the controller, it's all height based as it should be.
Also, Cool Cool Toon is another great maraca game.

Too bad the official maracas cost like 100 bucks. I got the Cha Cha Amigo ones for 25. They are great, but they need a lot of room for the IR sensors to pick up decently..

Yeah, I got the official ones at launch (ah, happy memories...) and the cha cha ones some months later online. Version 2000 is where it's at.

Last summer I downloaded the japanese 2000 version when some friends came to my house. It was hell of fun.
Talking so much about Samba de Amigo makes me wanna play it so much now.. Maybe next week when my exams are over. I doubt it will be friends with my air cooler radiation though..
