I have to say I'm very happy as a SEGA fan right now. Even if they are not published by SEGA like Shenmue 3, the SEGA line up is pretty damn exciting.
I probably don't need to remind you that at the beginning of this year if I told you this would be the current list of upcoming SEGA games you'd have laughed;
-Shenmue 3
-REZ
-Yakuza 0
-Yakuza 5
-Yakuza 6 (increasingly likely)
-Valkyria Chronicles Remastered
-Valkyria Azure Revolution
-N/A Sonic game with a good development cycle
-Total War: Warhammer (I've been waiting for a fantasy setting TW since 2001)
-Dawn of War 3
-Persona 5 (Atlus)
-Odin Sphere (Atlus)
If they would just announce PSO2 coming West and Virtua Fighter 6 I think it would be the best line up in over a decade, perhaps it already is.

Yeah, I feel like 2016 maybe a good year for SEGA. Let's not forget about the movie deals that they've been doing.
And yes a sequel to Virtua Fighter is long over due.

I wouldn't worry about those for a while... I don't expect to hear anything for another year at least.

Meanwhile for Japan in 2016.
-Puyo Puyo's 25th Anniversary. Expect another Puyo Puyo Anniversary game, worst case scenario Puyo Puyo Touch and Puyo Puyo Quest will still have special promotions.
-Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X coming to Playstation Vita and Playstation 4.
-Phantasy Star Online 2 will be released on the PS4 along with Reborn: EPISODE 4.
-Valkyria Chronicles: Azure Revolution and Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will be released on PS4.
-
I just need them to confirm VC remaster, VC Azure Revolution and maybe PSO2 for the west...but it sure feels like SEGA can make a sorta comeback in 2016. Hyped!
-
Yup, certainly feels like it. I just hope it pays off for them and they're able to build on it.

Is this real life?
Sega is actually trying again. Still a ways to go but honest to God trying. Keep announcing those games and localizations. Don't fuck this up, man. I need this boost for the rest of the year. I can't believe they gained a brain and are promoting Yakuza games side by side.
Edit: And I just found out Yakuza 0 is America only. Thanks Obama. Guess I deserved that one.
-
I'd be amazed if that stays. It's probably just at the moment.
-
The only problem I have so far is that Sony consoles are getting the meat of the releases.
Only Total War: Warhammer, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olymic Games, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice are on anything else, barring anything unannounced. Though honestly let's pretend the latter two don't exist. Anniversary Sonic and Puyo Puyo titles may be multiplatform, there might be ports to Steam, I don't know.
I guess it's sort of a nitpick because I understand why they're focusing on Sony consoles. PS4 at least has the largest demographic out of the consoles.

I fully expect this to change, there has never been an American only release of Yakuza, I don't see this changing. All they said was thy can't confirm it. I'll come, I'm not even worried.
@FlareHabanero, I also don't like console exclusives but I can understand it. It's just the way this generation is headed.

As long as the games are launched on PC as well, it's fine
-
I think if Sonic25 is at least solid, Sega is going to be looked on a lot more warmly in the coming years.
-
Not that great of a list really.... REZ VR and Shenmue III aren't happing because of SEGA and its quite clear SEGA hasn't a interest in them . Don't look foreward to the endless reskin jobs of Yakuza these days with the regurgitation of the same mini games, regurgitation of the same locations and the regurgitation of the same animation patterns on battle moves , Yakuza 6 will be little different given the team have little over a year to make it .
Sonic should be good as should the Atlus stuff ,but I do wonder how long before Sammy outsources Atlus work to cut costs

I'm happy gamer. Just these days it's not because of Sega that'd sad.
