Title: Lack of PSO2 western release may have been due to business deal

If what a source told TSSZ zips to be believed, than a business decision between SEGA and a Chinese company might be why PSO2 hasn't come west. This actually makes a lot of sense. http://www.tssznews.com/2015/12/31/source-sega-japan-business-agreement-preventing-pso2-western-release/

Very likely, I mean there has to be a good reason for it. It's not just because 'they're stubborn' or they can't see it would make money...

There has to be a reason why given the PC userbase in the West, why this game has no come over. What ever the true and real reason SEGA Japan need a kick up the ass.

A pretty insulting demonstration of how Sega of Japan values its Western fanbase if this is actually true.

Possibly, but not necessarily. We'll probably never know what, or why or how this came about. It's not exactly usual behaviour. What ever happened, it sucks.

It is sorta unusual, honestly. (Again, if this is actually true.) I can't really think of another example of a Chinese corporation effectively barring a Japanese company from releasing their game in the West in exchange for a Chinese release.

Hopefully not a move that sets a precedent.


By the way my prior post wasn't meant to be as harsh as it sounded, lol. But yeah news like this doesn't make me particularly stoked.
