I think they play terrible myself, but that was the Wii version with its pointless gimmick controls . Maybe the Wii U version will be much better. Hope so anyway as SEGA needs some sort of hit badly

I'm not at all interested in playing it, but it looks like it has come a long way since the waggle fest the first game was.

I have. SEGA make some of the best fun and simple sports games there were with its Decthalete, Winter Heat and Sports Jam games .  I was really looking forward to Mario and Sonic Olympics games thinking it would be classic SEGA fun, only to be total disappointed with a mess of a game with complicated controls and the fun totally lacking .

Here's hoping most of that was down to the Wii gimmick controls
