Assassin's Creed Brotherhood looks outstanding and awesome.
Some Laser Tag bullshit, a bunch of natal and heart sensor rubbish.
Driver San Francisco looked cool but then got weird when Tanner was a ghost and can possess drivers anywhere in the city. Might be good.
Future Soldier looked pretty slick, not sure if it's for me though.
THOUGHTS YOU GUYS!? I'ts still in progress too, so we can update as we go.
EDIT: PRoject DUST looks interesting, but very early.
RAYMAN IS BACK! And it looks absolutely Gorgeous!
Mania Planet takes Little Shit Planet to school. George is going to be so pissed. (They see me hatin, they see me trollin')
EDIT 2: MICHAEL FUCKING JACKSON!!?!>!! adgljadbjklfahdlfajkdfnadglbadghadladlgjbaldjfadlga
They didn't tell us what the game was though! If it's not Moonwalker 2, then fuck Ubisoft with a concrete dildo.
-
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!
-
Ubisoft. Trash.
-
They won with that new Rayman game. Holy fucking balls did it look amazing.
-
Ubisoft. Trash.
They just schooled Sony. Little Big Planet? More like Little Rubbish Planet Korporate Kasual Krap compared ot Mania Planet!

Seriously though, I know it's pissing in the wind, but that MJ game had better not just be some dancing shit. Moonwalker 2 or fuck Ubisoft.
-
IMO it was the best conference of the day.
That's how I'd rank the conferences:
Ubisoft - 8/10
EA - 7/10
Microsoft - 6,5/10
-
There was an EA conference?
Did I miss anything?
-
Put me down for one Rayman: Origins and one Children of Eden. :D
Rayman and Rez, it's like the Dreamcast all over again!
-
I thought it was hilarious that Eastside is already calling Child of Eden 'Casual Rez'
-
FUCK
Child of Eden, Rayman and Project Dust. Talk about making up for releasing a ton of bullshit.

Ubisoft's conference was boring as hell. The majority were just a bunch of shitty, boring, generic looking games that only mediocre audiences would want to play.
Rayman looks okay, but ehhhh... the original Rayman's artistic style was MUCH more interesting. (http://http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/8726/rayman1map.gif)
Shaun White Skateboarding managed to even catch my interest, which is saying a lot considering that I don't even like skateboarding games. Still, the very idea of taking bland, boring environments and turning them into colorful playgrounds was nice. ^__^ I wish I could do that to other mainstream games as well.
And damn, Rez looks like it'll be so much better with laggy input! That's just what the doctor ordered.
-
I disagree with you on Assassin's Creed at least, that game looked great to me. I loved the second one a lot too.
Didn't see the Shaun White thing, but I'll have to check that out later.
-
MICHAEL JACKSON
-
What the Hell is a mediocre audience supposed to mean?
-
Ok, I'm interested in
Rayman
Driver
Michael Jackson
that breathing game
and that Questmania and Shootmania thing
I couldn't care less about the rest
-
Oh yeah forgot about Driver. Looks like it could be good if that possession thing works well. And if the car chases are well done, natch'.
-
I laughed really hard when they said the character's in a coma so he can do whatever he wants. What a great way to explain all the bullshit!
I'm not even being sarcastic! I loved it!
I also loved the motion blur. I'm tired of following gps maps.
-
The taillights making a trail was a really cool idea, I agree.

I guess you haven't seen many of his other posts in which he tries to differentiate video game players with 'graymers', a made up word to try and prove his point.
Basically if you like high budget games, anything from Rayman to Split/Second to Assassins creed to Mario Galaxy, then you don't play 'real' games and blindly follow gaming sites.
It's almost like trying to male a distinction between Hollywood and independant films, except with a nerdy hobby; allowing him to be elitest about playing colourful tower defense games and sneering at your enjoyment of Fallout 3.
-
Rayman
When did I say that I hated the original Rayman? Did you even read my post at all?
It's almost like trying to male a distinction
"Male a distinction" - nice.
allowing him to be elitest about playing colourful tower defense games
Wow. That's mighty presumptuous of you, considering that I've never once in the entire history of my posting here mentioned tower defense games before. (http://http://forums.sega.com/images/icons/icon7.gif)

To me this press conference was Child of Eden and nothing else. I really thought they were saving it for last but seeing The Miz open the show, waving his arms like a maestro, made me spill jizz all over the place. It might make buy Kinect.
Rayman was also a very good surprise. Clearly Michel Ancel has been busy. At least it's Rayman, looks and feels like Rayman! I can excuse THE LACK OF BEYOND GOOD & EVIL.
The tactical FPS looked very good but it's definitely not my cup of tea. Apart from that I was sneezing throughout the presentation. Seriously, Driver? lololol Then, we get Michael Jackson. lolseriously
-
Did not really like the look of the new Rayman game, although some interesting concepts are in there at the very least.

You know what fine, I typed male instead of make by mistake on my iPhone, great.
Perhaps you haven't mentioned tower defense games but you get my point here, I'm not looking at arguing with you or taking this more off-topic so let's just drop it.
I don't like you, and you don't like me and we'll keep it at that.

Q Entertainment just confirmed via their twitter Child of Eden will have support for regular controllers.

This is really REALLY great news. Though I'll want to try it with Move.. Might be cool.

Wasn't BG&E2 canceled?
-
Child of Eden has owned E3 .
What happend to SEGA you use to do this . Madness to get rid of the genius that is Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s and then more madness to not sign this game up. Instead its Ubi :(.
What happened SEGA ??. Ueda-san you are my only hope, shame SEGA doesn;t car for your project :(
-
Wasn't BG&E2 canceled?
I think so,
They were ending the talk with 'one more thing'.
queue suspense being built up, hushed whispers 'is it beyond good and evil?', then BAM rick rolled by Michael Jackson.

Takashi Iizuka will bring Sega back where it belongs.
Wasn't BG&E2 canceled?
I don't think so. The project is probably on hold given the current economic situation. Ancel has been working on Rayman anyway.

Am I Alive... still alive?
-
Takashi Iizuka will bring Sega back where it belongs.
Let him get Sonic back where he belongs.
Sadly SEGA needs to give their own visionary his chance , but it now seems even Ueda-san project is dead :(, next stop Sonic Team
-
Your post made my day, TA.
Am I Alive... still alive?
I think it is, I saw a trailer earlier today on Kotaku. They were speculating it could be shown on Sony's conference.
-
Did not really like the look of the new Rayman game, although some interesting concepts are in there at the very least.
The new look is decent, but it is certainly lacking in visual variety.

It's the same DNA. He said it himself.
-
Child of Eden looked pretty fantastic. I've been waiting for Q? Entertainment to anounce a new game for what seems like forever. I'll probably stick with picking it up on the PS3.
I was a huge fan of the first Driver game, but haven't really enjoyed the newer ones that much. I still like the first one more than any GTA game. The focus on solid driving mechanics over do anything, anywhere was something I always liked. So, I'm in wait and see mode for this new one.
Rayman looked pretty gorgeous too.

The enemy seems pleased.

He has become a Barcelona spokesmen now?

Tetsuya is the special one.
-
This game is already getting the recognition Rez never had. Rez was definitely ahead of its time.

Suddenly everyone in the Internet says they loved playing Rez back in the day.

That's just me and my billion clones. Nobody gave a shit about Rez. People might have played the trial on Live Arcade. That's not back in the day, that's two years ago.
-
I have it on PS2 and Dreamcast. Do I rock?
I agree, remember back in the DC days, no one talked about it. Now its a cult classic. Same with Dreamcast in general.
-
I have the PS2, Japanese Dreamcast and XBLA versions of REZ. XBLA basically makes all the others unnecessary, but I still play the DC version because it makes me feel like a big man.
-
So do I, but we're fans. We count for nothing.
Fuck you mass market.
-
Does anyone have a spare Rez to sell me? :c
-
I have respect more for people that admit they first played PSO on Gamecube than those that lie and say they got it on Dreamcast and played online.

I bought a broadband adapter so I could play it on fan servers.
As far as Rez goes, I didn't get it when it came out, but I have had it on Dreamcast for 4 or 5 years. Took me a while to track down a sealed Japanese copy, as my PAL one is pretty unreliable.
-
I prefer REZ on the Dreamcast because it feels like the jump pack is going to explode or something, totally trippy!
-

lol no :C

It also sounds a lot better and has anti-aliasing. The PS2 version sounds worse, doesn't have AA but it runs at 60fps.
-
I only played it when it was on XBLA.
I have no regrets.
-
You played the best version of the lot. Nothing beats four controller trance vibration.

There were quite a few of us that raved about REZ , There was quite a Big Loyal Dreamcast following on boards like the sadly no more VGI and NTSC. I think my 1st play REZ post read
"The 2nd Best game SEGA made in their entire history"
Those were the days :(
I have respect more for people that admit they first played PSO on Gamecube than those that lie and say they got it on Dreamcast and played online
? I know quite a lot of people that were what one would call Diehard SEGA fans , that bought and played PSO on the DC . I think the DC version did quite well, its just a shame SOE killed the online aspect but noi allowing users to enter their own ISP .
I don't really think anyone bought PSO on the DC to show they're a Diehard, more so when you saw it , you just feel in love with it
The moment you join your 1st party, get a text and a smiley face from someone in the USA. was the moment you knew this was incredible and a completely magical experience quite unlike anything on console at the time.
Word of mouth did wonders for this game, I remember showing it off to a couple of mates, when playing with a team of people from New York , and they were just chatting away asking every day questions and just loving it . It was so magical, so friendly,so very special.
No game will ever come close really
