A tip of the hat to Trippled for another informative retrospective, check it out on the front page: http://segabits.com/blog/2016/08/25/sega-retrospective-deeper-arcade-game-oxymoron-became-one-segas-pillars/
Anybody ever play any of these? After reading the article, I really want to try The Key of Avalon. I have actually played Derby Owners Club a few times and really enjoyed it. I especially liked getting the horse card, which I still carry in my wallet.

I really would love to try out World Club Champion Football someday.

I never enjoy card games, I don't know why.
Tried Sengoku Taisen once, but didn't like it a bit.
But card games are popular here.
Sadly, the most popular of those aren't from SEGA, but from Bandai Namco.
Aikatsu and Animal Kaizer series are the top two card games here.
Still fear not. SEGA's still ruling the arcades though for rhythm games with Maimai and Chunithm.

Same here, once I had the opportunity but the arcade cabinet made me intimidated by how was massive ... of course I joke, in reality simply I was alone and the arcade room was empty, so no opponents.

Sad.. Can I even get the cards somewhere?

Dunno, neither I set myself the question, however is actually a great thought, the cards are in any case a possible collectible item and for a SEGA and of course a football/soccer fan could represent a very appealing combination.
Anyway, sadly, I don't know where eventually one can buy them ... :(

This is exactly my jam.
Sega has a great history with football, too bad we don't get all these awesome games over here.
