Title: Sega's Indie/Charity Effort?
Post by: Trippled on September 11, 2016, 12:16:02 pm

So this is twelve games for PC created with  charity money by twelve studios. Some of them Sega studios that we all know - Sumo Digital, Sports Interactive, Creative Assembly, Hardlight.

I do not know much about Indies so I'm not sure if this is something that happens commonly (hence on there being no reports on this). But I find this a cool effort by Sega nonetheless.

I could draw a paralell to the SegaSoft (http://segaretro.org/SegaSoft), where they also published dozens of small PC games that no one knows about.

It's a great decision, post this topic on the forum, in fact the release on Steam of this bundle is passed over in silence.

Personally, even given the double motivation, indie games published by SEGA and developed by studios owned or "friends", and the purpose of charity's nature, I bought the games on day one, although I have not yet tried them.

Oh wow, crazy thing is this was actually released on July 26th. Weird that they haven't really advertised this at all. I haven't even seen them mention this on their Twitter or Youtube channel.

They did on Twitter but no on Facebook. Also i dont think companies will put this kind of things on their youtube channel.
