Last night, I finished renting Mario Galaxy 2, and I really loved it!
It's surprising, because I thought the first game was ruined from its lack of difficulty. The first game practically held your hand the entire time. But wow, a lot of the comet missions in the second game are REALLY hard. Especially the last galaxy, (The last galaxy in the Hidden world.) which required a lot of precise timing with your jumps and spins. And when you have shadow Mario clones up your ass, it gets really intense. It's pretty awesome!
I managed to get all 120 stars in the 5 days I had the game, but apparently there are "crystals" you have to get afterwards. I didn't try those because I had to return the game.
So did anyone else here play it?

I have it, but the Wii is in the living room, everyone is on the TV all the damn fucking time.

I shared my thoughts in the "What are you playing thread". In short: I think it's overrated and not fun at all. This comes from someone who liked the first game a lot, by the way.

I played it through and really enjoyed it. I liked how it could get pretty tough, but avoided being cheap.
Bowser's castle in world 4 really blew me away.
