Has anyone here played the Conduit?
I was wondering if its worth it. Its supposed to be a FPS that is taking advantage of the Wii. So it sounds nice.
Should I buy the first 1 or wait for the 2nd?
-
I recommend neither... but if you must I'd wait for 2...
-
I second what Sharky says...
Back when I had the Wii, I enjoyed Resident Evil 4 alot, I know it is not a FPS and it was already released for the GameCube but I tell you if you haven't played the game yet, pick it up.
While the storyline of RE4 is generally stupid (in contrast to previous games atleast), it is better than what I've read about Conduit.
-
Eh, I found the Conduit to be a fun game, but not something you should drop everything for. For the Wii, get Madworld, No More Heroes and RE4 first.
Conduit 2 looks to be shaping up nicely though, so keep your eyes on that one.
-
I think Conduit 2 looks rather good myself. Not really interested in it, but I see nothing wrong with it in particular.
Anyways, The Conduit is only like $10 new now. If you are not willing to put down that kind of money on it, then perhaps the series is not for you.

If you're looking for a first person shooter on the Wii, The Conduit is definitely where you shouldn't be looking. If Conduit 2 will be borderline decent remains to be seen.
[spoiler:2ftexfmt]I would recommend Call of Duty 4 if you really want a FPS on Wii *hides*[/spoiler:2ftexfmt]

Does this forum hate Call Of Duty or something?
-
I don't think so. What makes you say that?
-
The fact you put spoiler then "hid" away.
-
It's because it's published by Activision, which everybody knows is the devil and it was somewhat offtopic.
-
What's with all the negative thoughts towards conduit?
I loved the single player and there isn't any fps game on the wii to have such a good multiplayer.
-
That is exactly the games problem it is compared to games on the wii, if compared to the best fps on any other console it is abysmal.
Hence anyone on the board who owns another console, they have no sympathy for it, they are making big promises for Conduit 2, but Secret Level also made tall claims with Iron Man 2 and they managed to make a game that was inferior to the 1st one, which is quite a phenomenal task to accomplish.
-
I've heard very good things about the upcoming GoldenEye remake, so you might want to wait for that.
As for cube's comments, I think that Conduit, while not as good as other FPS on paper, still offered something fun and unique with the great Wii mote aiming and controls.
