Found the picture here. (http://http://boards.4chan.org/v/res/72619955) Potentially NSFW.

Do not link to 4chan threads, they go 404 in like 8 minutes most of the time.
11 years man. Working on an article. I hope most of you guys are pleased.

The thread is stickied. It will probably stay up all day.

So after getting into gaming with the 2600 and Apple IIe, then the Master System and Genesis, I basically missed the whole Saturn/PS1 era. When I returned to gaming, it was with the PC and the Dreamcast. What a revelation to navigate through 3D environments. But the main thing about the Dreamcast is the games are so fucking joyously fun. And I'm sure I don't need to get into how ahead of their time many of the system's features and accessories were. Importing my own images for grafitti into Jet Set Radio... hell yeah. Brilliant games with an elegant aesthetic that I think has and will continue to hold up very well throughout the years.

Yo, they trying to take our day. OH FUCK...

Happy DC day, still the best console ever :afroman:
-
Happy Dreamcast day for y'all, too.
Though, I'm a bit blue, you see.
I tried a video recording of the original Crazy Taxi, PC version and it didn't work, tried 3 different freeware software and none were effective.
-
I played through all of Sonic's levels in Sonic Adventure. Pretty cool stuff even today. Let's hope the XBLA release is as good as this.
-
The highlight of Barry's stream was definitely seeing him attempt stage 2-1 in Super Magnetic Neo. xD
Ohhh, what a great game. <3333

Segata died for all of our sins (PlayStation), so we could have the Dreamcast.

I listen to this song with the Dreamcast in my arms.

Gagaman was Aki, right? I sorta recognized his voice from the Segabits podcasts, but I wasn't entirely sure.
At any rate, thanks to both of you guys for streaming today! ^__^ It was fun!
-
Gagaman and Aki-at are different people.

Gagaman and Aki-at are different people.
Thanks, I wasn't sure. Sorry for the confusion, guys.
-
Yup, Gagaman is of SEGA Memories and DCJY, Aki-At is... of here :)
Thanks to all who watched! i just ended the stream, about an hour early. I'm pooped and the chat room went quiet after 9. Still, had a good amount of people watching and had a blast! Now it's time to rest my tired eyes. 14 hours of watching and almost ten hours of playing really takes it out of you!
Until tomorrow!

IGN surprisingly offers a great read:
IGN Presents the History of Dreamcast (http://http://retro.ign.com/articles/102/1021947p1.html)
-
That article is amazingly good. I kinda like IGN now..
It felt a bit sad realizing that there will be no other time when we'll have so many studios making so many AAA games. Nor will ever be such peak of creativity and audacity in gaming.
Still, I feel happy for being fan of the company that once went all-in fearless of all competition and ready to either rule gaming or die trying.

Here's Kotaku's douchey kinda lovable DC tribute. http://http://kotaku.com/5634422/happy-birthday-dreamcast-well-never-forget-you
-
Everybody remembered the Playstation's birthday last year, of course. Still, I saw more of the Dreamcast's 10th in 2009 than the PS' 15th in 2010. Legends never die. Fuck you Kotaku.
-
Dreamcast still gets play at my joint when I have friends over. It's a true legend of the industry, never have I seen a console get so much lasting love.
The Dream is never over.
-
Yeah, when I have bros coming over we always play it. Screw Halo and Gran Turismo, we got Quake 3 and Sega Rally
-
My girlfriend and I made a... pretty bad Dreamcast cake to celebrate!
