Title: Konami's X-men arcade game is coming to PSN/XBLA

The 6-player X-Men arcade game from the 90's is coming out as a downloadable title for PSN/XBLA. New additions are difficulty settings, and drop-in online multiplayer.
They haven't announced a release date, but when it comes out, it would be cool if a few SEGAbits members got together for some 6-player beat 'em up action as a bit of a community event or something.

Ohh, I remember this game from waaaay back. Might get it if it holds up over time/price is right.

They've got a cabinet at Wonderland outside Toronto. Pretty wild to see an arcade machine with 6 joysticks on it.

Looks like this game's coming out next Tuesday on the PSN.

I thought it was going to be exclusive to the XBLA for two months?

I do not really trust this release yet. Backbone is doing it.

It's exclusive to XBLA for two months in Europe, not in North America.
Seems kinda lame when this stuff happens.

Its coming out earlier on PSN:
"Remember when we reported that Konami's digital download version of the classic X-Men Arcade would hit Xbox Live Arcade a few weeks before PlayStation Network? Nix that -- it's actually coming to PlayStation 3 first, Konami has clarified.

Don't get all bent out of shape, Xbox 360 owners, because it's only by a day. X-Men Arcade will hit PSN next Tuesday, December 14; 360 owners can spend their MS points on Wednesday, December 15.

X-Men Arcade will feature drop-in online multiplayer for up to six players online, and will include two versions of the game ROM -- the North American release and the Japanese release. The difference? Japan's version apparently had power-ups, including health packs. Cheaters. "

My roomate just got it we were rockin it for awhile. best fun we've had in a long time with the ps3....


They need to port the Simpsons arcade game lol that one was sweet.
