It's late, I'm bored, and out of seer curiousity I am wondering what you guys drink while gaming. Simply cause I'm creepy that way.
I personally, enjoy having a nice glass of whiskey with Ice while I'm playing games that normally boil my blood. Which happens to be about 80% of the games I play. Mind you I sip mine, so I don't get drunk.
And if not whiskey, I go with Mountain Dew. Cause that green sperm killing drink guarantees better gaming results.

Awesome topic idea!
Some of my friends would be pleased to hear you like a whiskey. We also drink whiskey sometimes. If we're going with the 'good shit' it'll be Vat69 which my friend drives to Scotland to buy. (Right from the source!) This is a pretty mean feat considering we live closer to France then England, let alone Scotland. If not, we will go with Famous Grouse whiskey.
But personally, I would go choose shots of Sambooka or a good beer, both go well with Chu Chu Rocket, which we have turned into a drinking game.
If I'm not drinking alcohol... TEA! A lovely cup of tea!
If all else fails I’ll have a Capri-sun or an Umbungo! =D

Water and a good beer, at the same time. Don't want to get dehydrated.
Or a loser could drink this crap:

I tend not to be into MTNDEW or soda, trying to give up surgry drinks. I'm not too much into Soda. If I do, Jones Soda or water.

Usually water, but because I am a childish freak, I still really like a lot of sugary caffeinated stuff (really into Dr Pepper for some reason), but I am kind of getting less and less into it and will probably be almost exclusive to water next year.
When Halo games come out, I go nuts and buy tons of the Halo branded drinks, because that is the kind of person I am. As Barry pointed out, I am a pretty big loser with it, the worst recent thing I did was buy a bunch of Pepsi that had a big SEGA logo on it, but it was for the Iron Man 2 game. :|
I always wanted to try Jones Soda.

I drink pineaple juice most of the times. Great taste.
Alcohol would be green lable combined with Coca cola... while smoking weed (points at location)
I did it at a friends the other day and he has this major big ass screen tv. We played Motorstor, call of duty, Pro evolution soccer and to end it all off, some singstar parteeyy. I handled it pretty well I say

I generally don't drink or eat anything while playing video games, mostly because I find it irksome putting down a controller to drink something/eat something then having condensation/food on my hands. I HATE greasy controllers with a passion.
Buuuuuut... if I do drink something it depends on my mood. If I'm in a mood to just kick back and relax I might have a cold beer.
If it's really cold, I might have a cup of tea or coffee.
And when I was playing Yakuza 1 and 2 it was usually on a friday after work when I was really tired, so to keep myself alert and able to play the games for hours on end like I wanted to, I would drink a Samedi energy drink. I generally avoid those things like the plague (they are really really bad for your health), but that was one exception.
-
I'm with MadeMang on the eating/drinking.
I'll usually keep a glass of water handy. I don't drink any alcohol, coffee, tea, or energy drinks. I'll have the odd Canada Dry (ginger ale), if I go out for Indonesian food, but that's about it as far as pop goes. Juice is good too, but I make sure to stick to the 100% juices, and not those "fruit drinks".

Lemonade, Water or Sprite
-
yeahh lemonade! I refuse to drink that stuff around my dreamcast, the other year I spilled a huge glass full of it all over my controller, hasn't worked since. ended up just cleaning it out the best i could and now I use it as a container lol
-
Depends when I'm playing, if it's in the day probably a cup of tea or Ginger beer.
If it's at night then maybe a Whisky such as balvenie, Glen morangie, or glenfiddich. Failing that any light beer such as coors, miller or sol.

I rarely drink soda, but if I do it'll probably be
(http://http://www.strykowski.net/realizacje/irnbru/irn26.jpg)
Irn Bru... You know how rare it is to find something these days that doesnt taste like anything else? IRN BRU tastes like nothing else.
IRN BRU is what I wanted out of Mountain Dew, people kept going on and on about it... I imagined it would be a flavour all of its own... It's just fucking Sprite with an extra spoon of sugar... and Sprites just lemonade with a brand name.
-
Sprite doesn't taste like lemonde.. XP
although I agree with you about Mountain Dew
-
I thought the idea was that Sprite IS Lemonade? I've never heard it referred to as anything else. It's like saying Coke doesn't taste like Cola.
-
Sprite's carbonated water with a citrus flavour.
Lemonade's usually just lemon juice, water, and a ton of sugar.
-
Is soup your favorite drink?

That's traditional lemonade, but generally Sprite and 7-Up etc are called Lemonade over here.
Then we have stuff like Solo and Lift which is referred to as Lemon-Squash.
-

That'd be odd :).
@MadeMang:
Never heard of Lemon-Squash, or Sprite/7up being called lemonade. That's pretty interesting though.
We've got pink lemonade, and raspberry lemonade here though. You can also buy lemonade with booze in it.
-
Let me shine a light on this confusion!
Americans... Usually, don't call things like Sprite and 7UP 'Lemonade' I think they simply refer to it as something like 'Lemon Soda'.
Americans still drink that tripe that is... Real lemon juice with a ton of sugar poured into it... (Which seems like the most pointless thing in the universe to me... Why not just drink an already sweetened fruit juice?) That is their 'lemonade'
While us UK and AZ Lemonade is pretty much only things like sprite, 7up and so on.
Because who the hell wants to drink lemon juice?!
-
Sharky is correct. Lemonade =/= Lemon-lime flavored Soda.
-
In Canada, it's just referred to as "pop". If anyone's getting more specific than that, it's usually just referenced by the actual brand name.
The whole appeal for lemonade, I think, is that it's got a sour bite to it, but it's still enjoyable to drink. The pre-mixed stuff is more common.
-
I actually don't mind that traditional lemonade (as it's generally called) so long as theres plenty of ice and it's a hot day.
-
It's definitely a summer thing. Best after mowing a lawn, or working in a garden :).
-
You'd think a man like Ryan, that works in gardens would know a thing or two about the refreshing taste of Lemonade.
-
My great-grandparents had a pretty sizable vegetable garden while I was growing up. Lots of work.
-

I hope you know that every time I'm refered to as 'man' and not 'boy' i die a little bit inside.
Although the irony is that... When you would rather be called a boy then a man is probably the best sign that you ARE a man...
=(
Always... Back to drinks!

Anyways, I don't usually drink when I play video games but when I do it is usually either water or Dr. Pepper.

Hell yeah! We will now both be known as the team who both represent water and Dr Pepper while playing videogames, but never at the same time.

Regular Mountain Dew was originally advertised as a drink for hill billies and rednecks. I just thought you would like to know that.
Also, do not knock down all of Mountain Dew! The basic flavor is pretty... Well, basic, but many of the other flavors are pretty damn unique. The blue one is pretty interesting.

Ah hey, that might be where I picked that up. Everyone here calls carbonated beverages soda, but I have always known it as pop. I spent the first 15 or 16 summers of my life up in Canada, so I guess that might explain it.
It is weird how the lamest topics on this forum always eventually have the most fascinating conversations and revelations.

Where abouts in Canada?

Bobcaygeon, Ontario.
I doubt you have heard of the place, it is very hidden. Besides being full of woods, it is probably best known for it's ice cream (which is the most phenomenal kind around IMO), so it is probably hard to find on maps.
-
*does the google map thing*....
Sounds like a cool place. Aesthetically, it's probably pretty similar to the area here. I'm a bit further northwest though, so you run into more rocky terrain.
-
Always Coca-Cola and mineral water.
I'm actually addicted in Guarana Antarctica, but you can't find it easily here.
-
I used to be addicted to this stuff, it is more of a gimmick than an actual great drink, but still pretty cool! Too bad it has been discontinued for like half of my life almost...

Ah, sounds great! It sounds like a nice place to relax, surprised you can get so much done all things considered. I know I would not do much.

It's -24 Celsius with 74% humidity right now. A good chunk of the winter isn't too fun, but I do most of the relaxing in the summer. I'll get less done then :D.
