I can't remember all the one's I've finished for the year, but at work me and my co-workers have set up our 'Wall of Fame'. Since around September we've been posting up images of the games that we've finished on our walls. I'm currently in the lead!

That's a pretty impressive list though CrazyTails. RPG's take a good chunk of time. How did you enjoy Sakura Wars? I've had it here since it came out, but I've got a few other console titles I want to beat before I play it through.

I've tried to stick to playing one title at a time on a console, and one at a time on a hand-held system. (Currently Enslaved on PS3, and Dragon Quest IX on DS)

Hugely impressive list. I think it is actually very cool to reminisce on this for some reason. I am not able to remember the entire list of games I beat in 2010, but I will be sure to keep track of this year.

Actually that might be a nice thing for us to try and achieve on the forums, see who can beat the most games in 2011. Anyone up for it? And should I count playthroughs on games I beat in the past? I mean, something short like Crazy Taxi should not count, but some longer games could? For instance, there are many games I wanted to replay through again, like the Banjo-Kazooie games.

I didn't count replays, but that's mostly because I was trying to make progress on my backlog.

This year, I beat both Uncharted games twice to get the platinum trophies in each one. Opted not to put them on the list because I beat them a good while ago.
I got the platinum in Sonic and SEGA Allstars Racing, but I left it off because I keep games without a story mode (like Tetris for example) on a separate list. Probably could've put SASAR on the list though.

Tetris I've beat,
When the game freezes cause it's going to fast. You beat it.
Bow chika wow wow.

A lot of the games I listed I've played before and I'm replaying.
In fact most of them on that list!

Still haven't played it lol.

Or when I decide to pick up a PS2 and play it.

I'd had it for quite a while before finally getting around to it last year. It's a bit slow to start, but gets really good.

I see a lot of people who have played more games than it is healthy, I personally think 12 games a year is the perfect number, 1 for every month.

I personally think my gaming days are coming to an end:
Cause I only beat 4 new games, the other 2 I had already played.

1) LOST VIA DOMMUS: Got value for money, played each episode 3 times except the final episode (14 months).
2) MAX PAYNE: 3 Chapters in 3 Days; replaying the game for the first time since 2002)
3) FALL OF MAX PAYNE (MP2): Loved it 3 more nights of Payne, replayed it immediately after beating it on a harder difficulty.
4) Condemned: Criminal Origins: Struggled through this Nightmarish game not because it was scary, but because it was bland and boring.
5) Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: I played the bonus case for the first time, then I replayed the previous 4 episodes
6) Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations (took me 2 years mainly cause I play the Ace Attorney games on vacations, while i'm flying.

Did not beat:
Dead Rising: to be picked up when I have spare time.
Condemned 2: just played it for 2 days, will play more it is way better than the original.
Lost Planet: Avoid like the plague, the game is boring as hell.
Miles Edgeworth Ace Attorney Investigations: Played a week before new years, am not liking the gameplay, it might as well have been point and click! Also Edgeworth is nowhere near as amusing as Phoenix.

What do you guys think? I am clearly no longer hardcore which brings us to Barry:

My first thought was that this list is about the same as mine, but I am 1uping you, also my games were full length. I haven't played any game on your list but I assume they don't last as long as Bayonetta, all of them except Bayonetta are rather short arcady/old school (don't know about toybot) games.

What is up? Your gameplay seems to be minimal.

How many hours of gameplay do you clock a month. I haven't clocked anything this year and I think it was probably 10 hours in December.

I don't think you can judge what it 'Healthy' or not by how many games someone plays. I play a shit-ton of games, but I also have a good career/job, and a very good social and family life as well as other hobbies.

I know SOUP has a huge list too, and he's gonna be a Mountie, from what I know those guys are the epitome of Truth, Justice and the Canadian way.

Let's not get into what is 'hardcore' and what isn't.

This year should be much busier. With my recovery speeding up, I'll be working full time again, and getting back into more physical training. I'll probably only get through 30 games this year.  Probably depends on how many RPGs I take on.

That is a strange conclusion. Most games are only a few minutes long, some have no ending at all.

Oh I play a lot, I just was counting games that I played from start to finish in 2010. Most of the time I'm replaying stages from games that I beat years ago, am continuing to play games that I've yet to beat (long RPGs) or play games that I don't think are ever really "beat" like racers, fighters and puzzlers as there are always new opponents to play.

Not sure of what I clock a month, but I usually play on the train so thats one hour a day. I usually play a half hour at home each night, jumping between games on the 360. The weekend I usually play a bit more, especially if it sucks outside or I have a new game. So... 10 hours a week on average, more if I have a new game that I'm hooked on.

Are you forgetting about most platformers, pretty much every fighting game ever, basically everything made before 1995 that is not an RPG?

But most people don't put those sorts of games on their 'I finished this game this year' list, and furthermore even though you can 'finish' a fighting game's arcade mode in minutes, you generally play it for far, far longer with friends. Moreso now online. Same goes for platformers and all the rest.

That is replay value you are talking about. Seeing the credits in a game is beating it.

Reaching the credits is a pretty good guideline.

I understand that, but it sounded like you were implying that we only play a given game for minutes, when really we would be playing it for hours.

Anyway, stop playing more than one game a month.

Um quite a few I think,

BFBC2
COD BO
Infamous
Modnation Racers
Halo Reach
AC2
AC Brotherhood
Splinter Cell Conviction
Alan Wake
RDR
Split Second
Halo ODST
SASAR
Batman AA

There are more I think but I don't remember them.

But there are games you can't "beat" like The Sims and other simulation games.
